there was no way that you were going to back out now, not after coming this far. your grip on seungmin's hand tightened, his fingers wrapping around your like a vice. you had noticed his breathing increase, each breath was more rapid and shaky then the last. his eyes held a fear that was unknown to you, a far greater emotion then you had ever witnessed from him, the brown of his irises sparking gold under the setting sun, glassy and afraid for not just his, but your well-being. adrenaline pumped through both your bodies like a raging fire, not even the heaviest of downpours could put out. the woman lunged at you, blade in her palm, slicing at the air as she advanced closer.
"fuck..." seungmin whispered, still stuck in pure shock. quickly, you tugging him to the side, rolling out of her aim just as she passed. a shriek escaped her lip in frustration, tugging at the dark locks of her hair. she had morphed into some crazed, fixated lunatic, only one look at seungmin was all it took for her to snap. she focused her attention on seungmin, picking him up by the collar of his shirt, marvelling at him for a few seconds while he scrambled to get out of her grasp.
she turned to face you, a smirk gracing her wicked lips. she threw him against the trunk of a nearby redwood, the thud was sickening to the point where you felt nauseous. you tired to scream for him but nothing came out, your voice paralysed with fear, she made the blade appear in her hand once more, starting to swing it again.
"you little rat, you stole him from me!" she wailed out in a hopeless cry, the tip of the blade slicing through the sleeve of your shirt, barely nipping the skin, yet still enough to draw blood. you winced as the sting shot through your arm, your concentration lost as she took out your legs from under you.
"he's mine! he will always be mine!" she hovered over you, placing the blade to your throat, the edge slowly sinking into your throat. you let out agonising scream, mustering up all your strength to try and push her off. seungmin had finally come to, realising the situation he sprinted towards you, discarding the amount of pain he was in. he pulled her off of you, she turned around, far quicker that he anticipated, the blade sinking into his abdomen, his white shirt stained red.
he muttered a simple word, eyes fluttering up at you before he crumpled to the floor.
"run"
