Blake POV

I DIDN'T know what to feel as I stared at a woman I had never seen before. With every movement of her eyelids, I felt captivated… by the color of her eyes.

Our gazes met, and I gasped. I didn’t know what was pounding in my chest, but one thing was certain—it was beating too fast.

"Bro!"

I looked up upon hearing my cousin Kayzer’s voice. I smiled when I saw him, but my smile quickly faded when I noticed he was with the woman I had seen on the school grounds yesterday.

I wanted to look away from her, but for some reason, I couldn't move.
Shit! This is embarrassing! You already have Dianna, Blake!

"Bro! I want to introduce you to Althea Leigh Scot," Kayzer said, but I couldn't even look at him. My eyes were locked onto her.

Althea, huh? Nice name.

"Althea, please meet my cousin, Blake Ion Zaldivar."

"Hi?" She extended her hand toward me, making me flinch. "Are you okay? You seem a little startled."

I cleared my throat. "Ye...yeah. I'm fine."

"Am… nice to meet you," she said again, her hand still extended for a handshake. I quickly took it.

"It's a pleasure to meet yo—" But before I could finish, she suddenly withdrew her hand, her blue eyes widening in shock.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Ye...yes. I’m fine," she answered with a smile, though I could tell she was surprised by something. I didn't know what it was, but I decided to ignore it.

"What did you just say, Dad!?" I shouted, standing up abruptly. He had to be joking!

"Whether you like it or not, you're getting married soon—to the daughter of the Scot family."

"No, Dad! I already proposed to Dianna! You know how much I love her!"

"Lower your voice, young man," my father scolded, his sharp gaze making me clench my fists. He massaged his temples before leaning back in his chair.

We were in his office at home. It wasn’t often that Mr. Zaldivar summoned me, so I knew he had something important to say.

"I already allowed you to have a relationship with that woman, Blake. Now, it's time for you to follow me."

But to arrange my marriage!? This couldn’t be happening! I proposed to Dianna yesterday, and she said yes. There was no way I was letting anyone take her place at the altar.

"Dad, I will not marry that woman!"

"If you don't, Blake, you won’t get even a single penny from my wealth. And you can forget about inheriting the company that was meant for you."

I froze. "B-but, Dad—"

"No buts. Marry that girl, and that's final."

Dianna and I broke up. The pain was unbearable. I couldn't fulfill my promise to marry her—all because of her.

Behind her innocent face was nothing but deception.

"Long live the newlyweds!"

I put on my sweetest smile for the guests.
Long live the newlyweds!? To hell with this marriage!

I was going to show everyone who the real demon was. I turned to my new wife, who was smiling happily at everyone. Her eyes were filled with joy.

I smirked. I will make your life a living hell, bitch.
