Chapter 9

PUNISHMENT

We ate our lunch by the pool and talked about our school life. He never asked me anything but instead tried to make me laugh. I was so glad that I've met him. Once we docked, he would go to his relatives few blocks away from my hotel kaya napagpasyahan naming magkita ulit. I would still tour the city with or without Peter. I couldn't rely on him for my own happiness and enjoyment.

When the captain announced that we are just an hour away from Cebu, we parted ways to pack our things to get ready. Inalok ko na rin siyang sumabay sa akin.

I packed all my used clothes and arranged all my things in my luggage when I heard a knock. I answered thinking it was Carl.

I checked my bathroom quickly then came out. Nakita ko si Peter na nakatayo ng diretso. Mabagal akong naglakad palapit sa bag kong katabi lang niya at tinignan ang mukha niya. I could see regret in his eyes. I smirked to myself. Siguro nagtanong na siya sa mga tao kanina. Too late though. The damage has been done.

"You need more soaking?" I raised up my brow.

"Love.."lumapit siya sa akin na ikinaatras ko agad. He swallowed hard.

Now, LOVE na ulit ang tawag sa akin?

"I'm so sorry.." he said slowly.

I grabbed my luggage away from him and pulled it outside my door.  Maybe I would just wait for Carl sa dining, pool side or anywhere far from this man.

He walked with me and snatched my luggage away.

"Let me please."

"I'm perfectly fine without you Peter."malamig kong sinabi at hinila ko pabalik ang luggage ko nang malakas. 

"I'm really sorry. I know I've done a terrible thing to you, but please.." he said begging.

I rolled my eyes then crossed my arms. He swallowed hard when I faced him coldly. We'll see if he can do this..

"I want you to tell your best friend to fuck off and I want you to cut your relationship with her if you want me to stay with you Peter." I ordered him. He clenched his jaw then looked away.

My heart constricted in pain when I saw him hesitated. Of course.. sino ba ako compare sa best friend slash fuck buddy niya?

"Nevermind." I whispered then turned my back.

Natigilan ako ng humawak si Peter sa kamay ko nang mahigpit.

"I'll tell her that. Anything else love?" He asked darkly. He was still clenching his jaw.

"Infront of everybody."

"Let's go then. I want you to enjoy our vacation together." My heart beat fast. I didn't know that he would actually do it.. Alam kong mahirap ang gagawin niya pero para matahimik ako ay gusto kong marinig mula sa kanya na ako ang pinipili niya.

We walked to the control room hand in hand. He was holding my hand tightly while his other one was pulling my luggage. One of his crew greeted us.

"Sir, Do you want anything?"

"Tell Miss Mateo to come here."malamig na sabi ni Peter. He was looking intently on me. I tried to let go of his hand. I was palpitating. I didn't know if this is a good idea.

"I want all of you to stay quiet. And never leave this room. Once Miss Mateo is here, turn the pager on."he coldly said and never let my hand go.

His crew departed instantly and another one offered us chairs to take a seat while waiting.
