Insomniac

Alex POV
For me, sleeping is hard, but also staying awake is hard. But John doesn't know that. John's the closest friend I got yet he doesn't know my biggest secret. You make ask "what's the cause of that Alex?" Well, that's my nightmares. I get one every night that I actually  sleep I was extra lucky and got three. Nice. John moved in about a month ago so that's even better. (Insert eyeroll) Ok now we can start.

I woke up to me drenched in sweat and bawling my eyes out. I get myself together and tippy toe over to John's mattress to get in with him. I get flashbacks of the nightmares and start crying silently about them.

"Can't sleep?" John says turning around.

"N-no" I said nervously

"Alex tell me what's going on, ever since I moved in you haven't slept very well..."

"I'm an insomniac.." I mumbled quietly

"Sorry?" He replied.

"Don't laugh.." I said as more of a question then a statement.

"Lexi, I would never laugh at you, I know you are gonna ask for proof." He said as I opened my mouth. "Then where is it?" I snapped.

"I didn't laugh at you when you came out."

"Fine.."

"I'm an insomniac..."

I was just waiting for him to laugh but then I got my first kiss from the man of my dreams.

"I-I'm sorry t-that was really s-stupid."

I just kissed him again.

"C-can you help me s-sleep?" I stuttered, wondering where all this confidence was coming from.

"Of course I can angel eyes.

He grasps me by the waist and pulls me over to him, and wraps his arms around my waist. I was now bright red and confused

"What are you doing?"

"Cuddling you? If you don't like it I'll stop..."

"What's cuddling?"

"Where I give you lots of hugs and kisses"

"I like cuddling..."

We were both silent for a few minutes just enjoying each other's presence until I broke the silence,

"What are we?" I asked childishly

"What ever you want"

I sighed and said "I want to spend Christmas with you every year, I want to celebrate our birthdays together. I want you to kiss me when I'm sad, cuddle me when I have nightmares. I want you to me my boyfriend John..."

I sighed and shut my eyes and slowly I could feel myself slowly falling asleep!

John must of thought that I was was asleep because I heard him whisper "I love you"

He is NOT getting away with this.
