Part 1:
"CUT!" The word echoed loudly enough for everyone to jump at the sound except for the two actors standing in front of the camera "Let's do that one more time and can you both try not to smile?" Director Lin sighs, as he runs his hand through his hair. It's been a long shooting day andthey are on their 8th hour of filming.
Lin glances at his two young actors and tries to be patient, but it's getting harder to film their scenes as their attraction towards each other grows more every day.
Lin looks over at them again and he can't help but smile. They are trying so hard to act as if they don't feel anything more than a working camaraderie between thembut the tension between them is palpable and everyone on set can feel it.
Lin knows it's best to take a break when they both start with their giggles, it will be just wasting everyone's time so he yells out "Let's take a break..Yue, Dylan get your heads straight and come back ready to finish this scene" he has not even finished saying this before Yue is off running and laughing towards a heater on the corner of the set.
A twenty minute break will not be enough Lin thinks to himself and again sighs heavily as he walks away.
Yue hears the first words "Lets take .." and nothing more as she quickly glances at Dylan who is already looking at her with a smile in his eyes.
Yue takes off running but she knows it doesn't matter as he will catch up to her in two or three strides then leave her behind to win the spot in front of the heater. Even knowing this she still runs as fast as she can and laughs as she looks back at him over her shoulder.
Dylan knows exactly what Yue is thinking as soon as he hears the director but he waits for her to take off before him, he has come to look forward to her laughter and especially when it's directed at him only.
Yue smiles and her eyes are shining as she looks up at him and runs off, he doesn't move as the best part is coming, he waits a few seconds and there it is, Yue turns back to look for him and is laughing as her hair is swept across her face.
He realizes his heart is beating faster and catches his breath when Yue's laughter echoes back to him. Dylan runs after her and speeds up just enough to make the race seem close.
Yue triumphantly claims the chair but looks up at him reproachingly "You let me win didn't you? I've told you to stop that I want to win on my own" she says a bit out of breath.
Dylan smiles but he know it's no use to put up a fight, so he looks directly at her and teasingly says "And I've told you it's not very becoming for a girl to always want to compete with a guy" he sees her chin go up so he interjects "Yue I'm only saying this for any future potential boyfriend you may have, I'd hate for you to end up an old unmarried Auntie" he says the latter innocently but he knows that's just adding fuel to the fire so he closes his eyes and braces for whatever Yue will throw at him but then there is only silence and as the seconds continue to tick away he chances a peek and opens his eyes.
