Shen Yue had just had a lovely evening. Half asleep, comfortably installed on a sofa, she was lazily looking at the night view offered by the common room's giant bay window. Around her, the conversations, always animated, continued, but the young woman, already quite tired, preferred to let herself be lulled by the atmosphere of the moment.
Winter had already arrived in Arxan. It is true that in this Chinese region of Inner Mongolia, the climate was relatively cold. When Yue first came to Arxan in October for the program "The Inn 2", the weather was already freezing. Since then, the ground and trees had become covered with a thick layer of snow, while temperatures had dropped below 0°C.
Shen Yue was quite sensitive to the cold; she had even been sick at the beginning of the shooting. However, she quickly became quite fond of this region, these places. Arxan had something magical about the atmosphere, its inhabitants' human warmth, and the breathtaking scenery.
Just the hotel that the boys helped to build was in a fairy-tale setting, home to a whole colony of deers and does. But she also loved its mountains, forests, and vast expanses.
She closed her eyes as she remembered the latest events. The Arxan hostel's boss and mistress had left for a few days, leaving the group of four young people (Kido, Wuyi, Dylan, and she) to run the hotel. They tried to solve the various dilemmas they faced and to entertain the guests as much as possible.
Kido and Yue had a great time imagining what they could develop as the guests' activities and making the business profitable throughout the day. They had thought of suggesting children a ride on sleds for a few yen and even tested their ideas. Yue started spinning on the snow in her little spherical sled, laughing heartily.
When they presented their idea to Wang Hedi, Kido couldn't help but joke to Yue, saying that she should ask for less money since she was not as strong. For a few seconds, the young woman held her breath, thinking that Dylan would beat her friend because of his dark glare.
Luckily, Shen Yue answered with humor, and everyone suddenly relaxed and burst out laughing. However, Yue felt as if her former partner in Meteor Garden had been staring at her all afternoon as they carried out their chores or presented the deers to the hotel guests.
In the evening, they had decided to play a game of charades with their guests by putting everyone in teams. Shen Yue and Wang Hedi got together and defeated everyone else, proving once again that they were a fabulous pair. Laughing, patting each other victoriously in the hands, and teasing each other, they had never been as close as they had been in the last few hours.
Shen Yue sighed quietly. That only confirmed how she had lied to Yang Zi, the star actress of the series "Go Go squid" who had been invited to appear on the show a few weeks earlier.
That time, she and Hedi were bickering while making the beds. One said that what they were holding in their hands was a fitted sheet, while the other hammered that it was a comforter cover. Neither of them wanted to let go, and once again, they found themselves bickering in front of the cameras.
