After Mia's death, everything went dark for her parents. She was their only child. Or at least they thought she was.
The day of Mia's funeral, dark clouds hovered above the town for forty-seven days. It rained for hours until the rivers and streams flooded the town. Some people believed that the endless rain and thunderstorms were the dead's tears and rage, mourning over their own graves wondering why life had to be taken away from them so early.
Their mysterious death still haunts the town till this day. And no matter how hard they try to figure out how it happened and why, none of them were even close to finding the answer.
Even the truth about Mia's parasitic twin became a topic in gossips but they immediately stopped when Mia's father filed a report against a woman who kept talking about their family two days after Mia's burial.
Some elders even believed that their souls are still roaming around the town, which became one of the ghost stories that scared children to play outside when the sun was about to set.
It was..... a scary story to tell.
Years passed and somehow the story of Mia and her classmates became slowly forgotten. They were no longer remembered and told during scary campfire stories. Somehow, life in town returned to normal again.
But it will always remain a part of the town's mysteries.
However...
Murdered souls will always haunt the living, for they will not rest until they find justice for their horrible death.
After all, it was only just the beginning of something more.......horrifying.
