Mia tried to scream, but it sounded more of a shriek because of how her voice trembled in fear as she stared at herself on the mirror. But the truth is, it wasn't her. It was her twin.
Her parasitic twin.
She couldn't move even if she wanted to, it felt like some unseen force was keeping her in place.
The evil twin tilted her head to the side and studied Mia with those haunting bloodshot eyes.
"We were linked together ever since birth, and only time will tell who gets to die first. But since you already took it from me, taking yours will set me free."
Mia's mom immediately went upstairs to her daughter's room when she heard an ear piercing scream and the sound of broken glass.
When she opened the bedroom door, she saw Mia lying on the floor infront of the mirror with a pale face, pale skin, and eyes wide opened. The same way how her classmates died the night of their prom.
Even the mirror was shattered to pieces.
When the police arrived at the scene, Mia's lifeless body was immediately brought to the hospital along with her mom crying at the hallway as she called her husband.
After a few minutes in the emergency room trying to revive Mia, the doctors announced her dead on the spot.
Mia's father arrived as soon as he got the call from his wife. His eyes began to water as he saw his crying wife and the apologetic look on the doctor's face. Soon, Mia's corpse covered with blanket from head to toe came out from the emergency room.
He fell on his knees and cried. He blamed himself that he wasn't there to protect her daughter. And now it was too late.
Mia is dead, and she's never coming back.
