Lynxpaw shivered feeling alone, she imagined Coldpaw sleeping beside her, who now slept next to Jinx. She shook off her weariness and stumbled onto her paws. She slipped out of the den trotting towards the entrance of camp. "Lynxpaw! Wait for me!" Lynxpaw rolled her eyes, her paws eager to move on. "Thanks for waiting!" Tigerpaw panted.  She hated it when Tigerpaw tagged along with her.

Lynxpaw grumbled and sprinted forward. Once out of camp Lynxpaw and Tigerpaw journeyed though Savageclan territory stopping once in a while for Tigerpaw to gather herbs (or to catch up.) "So Lynxpaw have any idea when you'll be a warrior?" Tigerpaw asked breaking the silence. "Not anytime soon." She mumbled.  She picked up her pace wishing she could ditch Tigerpaw. "Oh," the young medicine cat replied. "So all the apprentices are gossiping about You and Coldpaw's fight," Tigerpaw meowed, Lynxpaw glared at her. "I know that," she spat wanting to claw Tigerpaw's ears off.

They continued in silence. Lynxpaw tryed her best not to go back to their fight. Stupid Coldpaw.

"Lynxpaw I had this dream," Tigerpaw blurted once again breaking the silence.  "It was about a cat who called herself Morning Mist and she mentioned something about Coldpaw and Jinx." Lynxpaw stopped abruptly, turning around to face Tigerpaw who shrank back from Lynxpaw's bitter voice,  "What did she say"

Tigerpaw hesitated, "Darkness takes the lives of those who wonder in it's path," she whispered eyes filled with fear. "Jinx isn't the cat Coldpaw sees him as," Tigerpaw murmured quietly a worried expression showed across her face. Lynxpaw had suspicions about him, but she didn't think they where so big Starclan would concerned about. "Is that all Starclan said?" Lynxpaw asked, her voice suddenly high pitched. Tigerpaw shook her head, "This wasn't Starclan, Lynxpaw."

Lynxpaw's tail twitched in confusion. "This was a tribe cat, and she hasn't been the first." Tigerpaw explained hesitantly.  "So she isn't from Starclan but in a tribe of some sort?" Lynxpaw questioned. Tigerpaw shrugged, "I dont know"

They stopped to collect mouth fulls of marigold before returning to camp. Their conversation hanging over their ears silencing their voices. Tigerpaw went to meet up with her mentor leaving Lynxpaw alone. She sighed making her way towards Coldpaw before remember their fight. Loneliess crept along her spine, she shook off the feeling and turned away from Coldpaw. Jinx padded past her, a smirk played across his face. Lynxpaw bristled turning around to see Coldpaw waving Jinx over. "Hey Coldpaw," his voice sounding innocent. Lynxpaw shook her head, trying her best to clear her jealousy. I dont need Coldpaw. Why would a warrior like me ever hang out with a kit like him. She raised her chin and marched away from them Im a warrior Im a warrior, She told herself. Without realizing it she bumped head first into Silenthowl who looked down at her in awe. "Lynxpaw, you dont look so good. Are you okay?" His voiced filled with concern. "Im fine," Lynxpaw muttered ignoring the urge to tell him everything. "Lynxp-" Silenthowl began before being interrupted by Lynxpaw. "I dont want to talk right now so just leave me alone." Silenthowl shrank back, hurt by Lynxpaw's coldness. The butterflies in her stomach where replaced by dread. "Im sorry Silenthowl," She whispered avoiding eye contact. "Its all this stress and frustration,  I just dont know what to do. Everyone hates me and Coldpaw wont even look at me." The words blurred together, sounding unclear. She started sobbing uncontrollably. Silenthowl pressed himself against her, whispering comforting words into her ear as if she where a kit. "Lynxpaw, everyone is worried about you. You can tell me what happened." Silenthowl murmured quietly. Lynxpaw  glanced up and caught the eye of Coldpaw. She ducked back behind the warrior's dark pelt. "I cant," she whispered back, her voice sounding tierd. She pushed way from Silenthowl, embarrassed.

"I eh- im sorry"

"Its okay, sometimes we just have to cry and its nice to have someone by our side." Silenthowl meowed, avoiding eye contact.

"I have to go.." Lynxpaw mumbled getting to her paws darting toward the apprentice den. 8nce there she curled up in her nest ignoring her fluttering stomach.
