000. Juliet Fletcher could remember the day she had became friends with John Murphy. She was six and he was five and she found him sitting by himself, wheeling an old hot wheel back and forth. She had asked to join him and he let her, and after that the two had been best friends. When her father drank too much and hit her for the first time at the age of eight, she had snuck off to the Murphy residence. And every time after that. When the two had gotten the flu and John's dad had gotten floated, Juliet was there for him like he was for her. And she was there for him when he later found his mom dead.
Something had changed in their friendship as they got older, when they were eleven and twelve they had played truth or dare with Raven Reyes, Finn Collins, Jasper Jordan, and Monty Green. Jasper had dared Juliet to kiss John, knowing of the boys crush on the girl, and so she did. It was just a quick peck, that later turned into make out sessions as they grew up. And whenever Juliet would get a boyfriend it would stop, and John would he there for her when the boyfriend would end up breaking up with Juliet for being jealous of John.
So when John had decided to set a guards quarters on fire, accidentally committing murder in the process, she was devastated. She felt alone. Her fathers abuse hadn't subsided, it only got worse as she got older. And she felt utterly alone. Yeah, she had other friends, but they didn't know what went on in her home life. Of course they had seen the bruises, but she would make up excuses, like she fell, she cut herself while shaving, stupid excuses. And while her friends had noticed, they knew she probably didn't want to talk about it. While John was in the skybox, she had visited every week. And when Finn, Jasper, and Monty were locked up, she went to see them at least every other week. But John, she would go see him at exactly 3:00 pm every Wednesday. That was because they had met a little after three on a Wednesday.
And she was even more devastated when she found out all of the criminals in the skybox were sent to earth, all of her friends were sent to earth. And then her last remaining friend took a pod down to earth. And Juliet was left with no one but her alcoholic and abusive father, and the glances of sympathy she received from the other people on the ark.
But she wouldn't be alone forever, not when the Chancellor of the ark sent everyone down as they grew closer to running out of oxygen.

authors note - this is inspired by @starlithearts book called chaos theory, it's slightly inspired by murphy and the oc's relationship.... but this is still my own original plot and character, i just thought i should give inspiration creds
