The next day it was raining outside, Blue hated the rain. But it was sunny too, she didn't mind that too much, especially when a rainbow appeared. She'd read somewhere they were lucky. Blue liked lucky things.
Blue stuck to her promise that she made with herself, she entered the shop for the fifth time this week and looked around, Michael was nowhere to be found. Was he not working today?
After five minutes of waiting around, and still no Michael, Blue decided to wait for him. He must be working today. Blue sat on the ground and picked up a magazine, she might as well catch up on the latest celebrity gossip while she was waiting.
Blue looked up when she heard laughter. Michael walked in with a boy who looked vaguely familiar, she couldn't quite place him, however.
"Hey, Michael." Blue beamed up at him, she was still sat on the floor. Michael didn't seemed bothered. He looked down at her, taking in her new hair colour- it was a pastel bue, she'd dyed it last night- he smiled silently at her before leaving to go in the back.
"Who are you?" Blue hadn't meant it to be rude, although she was fully aware of how it could sound, she wasn't bothered. It was a habit.
"Could ask you the same thing." The blonde laughed, obviously unfazed by Bue's outspoken-ness.
"I'm Blue."
"Your name love, not your hair colour." She pinched his leg- which was clad in very skinny jeans, much too tight she thought- and he laughed again. Blue flipped her hair out of her face, she quite liked the colour, even if it was the same as her name.
"I'm Luke." She nodded, she didn't really care.
"Do you know Michael?"
"Best friend." Luke smiled as Michael walked back in. "How do you know him?"
"She doesn't." Michael answered for her. Blue scowled in his direction, she was still sat on the floor, too lazy to move.
"I'm trying to date him."
"Aren't we all?" another boy walked into the shop, laughing. She frowned at him, no, Michael was supposed to date her, not whoever this guy was.
"Who are all these people?" She threw her hands in the air in defeat, although she hadn't lost anything.
"Um, I'm Calum." The newest arrival said, returning her frown. His was poutier though, she hadn't been blessed with very full lips, unlike him.
"Blue, I do have friends you know." Michael said from his usual spot behind the counter, annoyance was present in his voice.
"Well, I guessed that, but they look so..." Blue trailed off not sure what to say, she wasn't worried about having a filter, it's not like they mattered to her anyway.
"We look so what?" Luke quizzed her, he leaned against the counter, his arms folded across his extremely broad chest- like extremely. Calum looked confused as he stood by the door still, like he was waiting for somebody.
"So... Icky." She said at last. The three boys burst into laughter.
"You're right with that one, blue." Michael reached over to punch Luke's arm, he missed.
"Oh great, who's this?" Blue sighed, as another boy walked in, his hair was wet and floppy. She really just wanted to talk to michael.
"Is this like a bad punk band reunion or something? What are they all doing here?" Blue looked over the new arrival, he was wearing a bandana, well that wouldn't protect his hair from the rain, would it? Blue groaned and stood up to face Michael, ignoring the look on bandana boys face.
"Michael, can you maybe ditch these losers and come on a date with me?"
