My Small Little Girl

Chapter 7

Jisoo waits for her mother to answer it. While she waiting, her free hand cooking. Jin outside watching television. After a few seconds, her mother picks up.

"Jisoo, where are you? It's late-night already." Her mother says in a worried tone. 

"I'm sorry, mum. I wouldn't go home today. My boss wants me to stay since it dangerous outside." Jisoo explains. 

"Oh really? He must be worried about you. I mean, he may be-" Before she finishes her sentence, Jisoo interrupted her.

"Mum, not more than that. I know what you trying to say." Jisoo sighs. 

"Okay okay. Well, see you tomorrow and have fun!!" Her mother says. From her happy tone and squealing, Jisoo knows her mother probably think the opposite of her.

Well, she wants her to get married. She always told Jisoo that she already old enough to get married and she always had a chance to seduce any men. But for Jisoo, she wants to hold for it first since she wants to find the money for herself.

Her mother hangs up just like that after saying goodbye. Jisoo put her phone on the counter and sigh. 

"What with the sigh?" Jin suddenly came.

"Nothing. Just annoyed by your presence." Jisoo rolls her eyes. 

He takes a seat, "I am much annoyed by your presence." Jin smirks.

"Whatever. Hey, can I ask you something?" She asks.

"You already did." Jin answers while eating the banana. 

"When you said there's a lot of crime out there, it makes me think about the murderer." Jisoo puts her elbow on the counter. "They kidnaped a pure girl like me and kill any men. Why they do that actually?" 

"I'm not living with them so don't ask me." He says coldly. 

"Well, you handle the case right? I know you did." Jisoo crosses her arms.

"Listen here. We don't have any other evidence or something that lead to the murderer or kidnapper. So, in other words, we don't have any updates about the cases." Jin told her. 

"But, it weird. How can a murderer and kidnapper happen at the same time? Don't you feel weird?" Jisoo asks. 

Jin stares at her. He didn't say anything but he admits that what Jisoo said is making sense to him. It weird. The murderer and kidnapper can happen at one time, it makes something is missing.

"Well, in my opinion, you should feel weird with the burnt smell." Jin raises his eyebrows at her. 

Jisoo furrows her eyebrows. Then, she sniffs in the air and her eyes widen. She turns around and saw her cooking is burning.

"No!!! My cooking!!!" Jisoo turns off the stoves. She stares at her overcooked food and sighs. "It such a waste!!" 

Jin looking at her with amusement. "Cook other dishes." 

"Let's just eat ramen. Is that okay with you?" She asks while cleaning the mess.

"Whatever. As long as I eating." Jin shrugs his shoulder.

She snuggles her face on the pillow. The bed is really comfy and make her even more sleepy. Before she could even continue her sleep, a soft pillow hitting her.

"Ahhh!!!" She sits up. Jin standing there with an emotionless face.

"What was that for!?" Jisoo groans.

"Wake up. Make me breakfast." He just walks out of the room like that.

Jisoo let out a groan and fell on the bed again. She ruffles her messy hair and hates it when her sleep got disturbed by someone. 

"Bring your lazy ass now before I drag you out!!!" He yells from outside.

Jisoo gets up from the bed and stomps out. She went downstairs and saw Jin waiting in the kitchen while playing on his phone. 

"You know you can make your breakfast by yourself right?" Jisoo asks while grabs some bread. 

"If I did that, then why I should hire you?" He states without looking at her. 

"Don't be so lazy if you don't want to get fat." She gives him the sandwhiches.

Jin takes a bite but still looking at his phone. "I want you to go home and clean yourself then come back and do your routine here." He says.

"I know I know. You don't have to tell me." She rolls her eyes. 

This time, Jin lifted his gaze and saw her in sweat pants with a sweater. Her hair messy like really messy. What makes Jin can't look away? Well, she looks adorable. Super adorable. He felt like he wants to pinch her cheeks so much.

Jin shakes his thought off. He couldn't believe he just thinks that about her. Jisoo snaps her finger in front of him and it makes his finches.

"You are space out while staring at me. No offense but it creepy." Jisoo states. 

"What? You think I was mesmerized by you?" Jin scoffs.

"Why you suddenly think that? Come on, Jin. I never have thought like that to you. I know I'm not pretty much." She chuckles and walks away.

"Thank god, you realize yourself." He smirks. She stops walking and turns around.

"At least, I'm not someone who thinks he handsome and thinks he can get anything with a snap of his finger. Do you know in this world, there's one girl that never think good about you? Well, it was me. YOU ARE NOT MY TYPE, OFFICER KIM." She said before walking away.

Jin's jaw drops. He just about to embarrass her but now, she did before him. Not her type? Everyone wants a type like him!! She plays with her words now he loses. He let out a heavy sigh and just went out.

He arrives at his workplace. Namjoon moves his eyes from the file to him. He looks grumpy. But, he always looks like that.

"What with the face?" Namjoon asks. 

"I don't have the mood to talk." He responds and sits on his chair.

"So what? I don't care." Namjoon challenges him. 

"Enough, Joon. Before I shoot you, better shut your mouth." Jin glares at him. 

"Like you will do it." Namjoon rolls his eyes.

Jin just sighs and shakes his head. He turns on his computer and doing his work. But then, Namjoon walks to his desk and put down the file on his desk.

"The new case," Namjoon says.

"Kidnap or murder?" Jin asks.

"Both." Namjoon answers as he sits down. "It weird. Why these two types of crimes happen at the same time? I mean, don't you feel suspicious?"

Jin takes the file and opens it. Somehow Jisoo words playing in his mind.

'But, it weird. How can a murderer and kidnapper happen at the same time? Don't you feel weird?'

"She said the same thing too," Jin murmurs. Namjoon looks at him with a question.

"Who?" He asks.

"Jisoo. The pervert girl. We did talk about this just now. And she did say that also. How can two crimes happen on the same day?" Jin repeats the question.

"I didn't mean anything, Jin. But, what she says is right. Something is missing." Namjoon states. 

Both of them exchange a look.
