Chapter 17

They arrive at Jin's parent's house. Somehow, Jisoo felt nervous. It feels real.

She takes deep breaths and let it out. Jin looks at her and rolls his eyes.

"Stop being nerve-wracking. Don't you remember my parent's reaction when they saw you?" He asks.

"What if they change their mind?" She asks.

Jin looks at her with surprise but he plays it cool.

"Why you sound like...you are my real girlfriend." He asks.

Jisoo gasp and clears her throat. "Sorry." She gets out of the car.

You're so stupid, Jisoo!!

Jin rings the bell and waits for them to open the door. The door opens and reveals her father.

"Hey, my son." Mr. Kim hugs him and pats his back.

"Hey, dad," Jin said.

"It nice to meet you again, Jisoo." Mr. Kim hugs her.

"Me too, Mr. Kim." She responds.

"Oh no. Don't call me that. Call me...dad." He winks.

"Oh...um. Okay, d-dad." She said.

"Great!! Come in." He invites them in.

They walk straight to the kitchen and found Mrs. Kim finish her last touches on her dishes.

"Mum," Jin calls.

"Oh my God!! My son and my future daughter in law!!" She rushes to them and hugs both of them.

"H-Hey, Mrs. Ki-"

"Stop right there, young lady. Call me mum from today." She glares at Jisoo.

"Okay, mum." She nods.

"You are so cute. Take a sit both of you." She smiles.

A lot of food in front of them. Jisoo feels her stomach growling. And she thinks Jin notices it because he chuckles.

"What?" She asks.

"I know you are hungry." He smirks.

Jisoo rolls her eyes. He gets up and grabs something and sit back. He put on a plate that full of fried chickens.

Her eyes widen. "W-What is this?"

"Fried chicken," Jin sighs.

"I know...but-"

"Jin ask me to prepared that because he said you love it. So, I cook it for you." Mrs. Kim butt in.

He did that?

She turns to him with a surprised expression. But, Jin just eating like nothing happened.

From there, Jisoo realizes that something on him that makes her feel...different.

"Here, sweetie." Mrs. Kim hands her a drink.

"O-Oh, thank you." She smiles at her.

Jisoo was done with her business inside a bathroom and went down. She saw Jin watching television.

"Where is Mr. Kim and Mrs. Kim?" She asks.

"They said they went out for a while. Not far. At our neighbors." He answers.

"Oh. Okay."

Jisoo sits on the couch and looks around. This house is not too fancy or big. It normal. It a normal modern house.

"Jin, aren't we going now? You know I still working with you right?" Jisoo spoke.

"I'm the boss and at the same time your bodyguard. That's mean, you follow.me everywhere." He said.

"That was suck." She mutters.

It was silent again.

Then, Jisoo remembers something.

"Your relationship with Taehyung is not good, huh?"

Soon after she asked that Jin look at her and back to the television.

"Why you bring him up?" He asks.

"Just asking. Well...why?" Jisoo continues.

Jin sits properly and puts his palms hands on her face. A heavy sigh escaped his lips.
"He did something I don't expect it."

"What is it?" She asks.

"Should I tell you?" Jin asks back.

"If you want. I wouldn't force you." Jisoo gets up and about to walks away but he spoke.

"I fell in love with one girl named, Ella." He spokes. Jisoo turns around slowly.

"She is so sweet and nice. One day, she confessed to me. At the same time, I don't know that Tae loves her also."

"I love her so much until I felt like I want to marry her. On the day of our anniversary, I..." Jin looks down.

"She cheated on you with Tae." She continues her sentences.

"Yes. You guess it right. I went home and saw...my best friend with my girlfriend on the bed naked. I don't know what to feel at that time. It happened so sudden."

"I broke up with her and I stops talking with Taehyung. Even he tried his best to ask for my forgiveness, it wouldn't change me. I told him, I already forgive him. It just...I don't want to face him. He is the best person and funny friend I ever had. And he broke it all. He broke my heart. He broke my trust. He broke...EVERYTHING."

Hearing his story make Jisoo's heartache.  She slowly walking towards him.

"I can't believe he did that behind my back. And my girlfriend...also did that." His voice cracks a bit.

After he stops, Jisoo speaks.

"I didn't expect you to have that past." She spokes.

"I know," Jin responds.

"And it was stupid." She continues.

"Excuse me?" He narrows his eyes on her.

"Yeah. It is stupid. I can't believe you guys broke your friendship because of it. I mean, yes. If my friend did that, I also broke my trust with her. But, about your girlfriend, it stupid."

"It not that she's the only one in this world." Jisoo rolls her eyes.

"You never in a relationship before. That's why-"

"What? You tell me I didn't understand your past? Dude, I know it hard. But, people come and go if she or he is not the right one for you. Trust me. You will found one." Jisoo smiles and slowly pats his head.

"And I always behind your back if you fall. I wouldn't do the same like how they did to you. No matter how annoying, jerk, rude, or mean are you, I always stay with you. That's my promise to you." She ruffles his hair.

Jin stares at her with shock. She sits beside him and hugs him. She pats his back.

"Everyone has a bad past. No one has escaped from being hurt." Jisoo whispers. 

Jin who's shocked, slowly hugging her back. He thought he will never get this hug again after losing Ella.

But, his thought is wrong.

My heart...beating fast...
