Chapter 17: The Garden of Healing

Bedroom . . . . .

Yesterday was fun, I get a long well with my people but still I need to learn about my new life here....wait someone is looking at me. I open my eyes and I saw Sam looking at me I startled that I fell down on my bed.

"Sam what the heck!?" I shouted as I stand. "Oh, morning Princess" she said and smile "Geez sam you almost gave me an heart attack and I told you many times already, stop calling me princess." I said and she laugh "sorry about that, though vampires don't have a heart princess, were the undead so it's impossible for you to have a heart attack. That's a human thing." she said as she laugh, I sigh and facepalm.

"It's just an expression Sam." I said and she look at me though being a vampire sure is hard to deal with, I miss to be a human already. I look down and she tilt her head. "Is there something wrong princess?" She ask. I didn't answer and went to the wardrobe "can you wait me outside, I'll just take a bath real quick." I said. she nod and went outside my room.

I sigh again and open the wardrobe, my clothes are all black and red, why vampires only wears black? I grab a sweather and take a small bath. Moments later when I was about to open the door, Aiko was there. "Oh, morning Maki" she said,

"morning Aiko, what brings you here?" I ask. She rub her back neck as she look at sam. "Well Sam told me you were a little down ealier so I thought I visit you, checking if your okay." She said. Aiko is acting like a big sister now, I never have a sister or brother. "I'm fine Aiko, sorry to make a fuse or anything" I said and glare at sam. She startled and look away.

Aiko chuckle and rub my head "well alright, but if your feeling down just talk to me okay?" She said in concern, I look down and nod. She smile and look at sam "alright, I should probably head back now. Sam I take care of maki" she said left "Understood" she said I walk away leaving Sam behind.

"Hey wait up!" She said and manage to catch me up "so where do you want to go? Library? The graden or your human friends?" She ask, "can you just leave me alone?" I said and she shook her head "Nope I can't allowed that." She said, she look at me in concern.

"Is there something bothering you?" She ask, I ignore her questions until she block my way. "Okay there's something bothering you, care to tell or I'll call Aiko?" She said. I sigh and spoke "It's nothing to talk about" I said though she didn't buy that "do you want to see niku?" She ask, I look at her in confuse why's Niku involve to this topic.

"Why niku?" I ask, she chuckle "I know you were dreaming of him~" she tease and I started to blush madly. "N-no I'm not!" I stutter as I blush more. "Why denying it?" She said and went to my back and carry me. "W-wha! Put me down!" I said "not until we visit Niku's place" she said and fly off. I was holding her and trying to fall.

"Ops, hold on" she said throw me up in the sky, when I falling down now I scream and she finally catch me. I was on her back and I can hear her chuckle. "Stop doing that!" I shouted, she laugh more "My apologies princess" she said. I look down and I my friends having fun, Eric is with Nozomi, Rin is helping Hanayo on something, Kotori is under the tree waiting Umi and honoka to showed up.

"Were here" she said I turn around and gasp, this place was huge. "Welcome to the wolves of Prey territory" she said as we land. Sam's clothes change to casual clothes automaticly.

"Oh I almost forgot, my clothes change when I cross the line over there" she said and pointed. In our home there's a lot of clouds in the sky and at niku's place, there's less clouds in the sky. "No one must know that I'm protecting you so let's keep it a secret okay?" she whisper as she wink.

Sam knock the door and the door open, it's niku. "Sam." He said in a cold way, sam smirk "Niku." She said and I can hear his growling. "What brings you here?" He ask. "Well you see..." sam move a side so niku can see me.

"Maki is a little down lately so I thought you shou-"

Niku grab my hand and close the door leaving Sam outside. "Seriously!?" She said in irritation. "Gah! You filty do--!" She stop when I group of wolves put there weapons on Sam's neck. "Oh, I forgot. No insulting the prince." She sigh and fly up high "well to the window we go...again." she said and went to the window.

Inside at niku's place. . . . .

"Are you okay maki!? Is there's Somthing wrong!? Talk to me!!" He said as he shake me back and forth. "Cut that out niku!" I said and he stop. I look at him and her wolve ears are showing into his head, and I saw his tale too!

His ears are down though, is that mean he's upset? "Sorry about that I'm just, worried...that's all" he said in a sad way. He is upset! We kept quiet for a moment "care to tell why?" He said breaking the silence. "Well I miss to be human" I said and niku look at me in concern.

"It must be hard for you to accept the fact that your vampire?" He ask and I nod, he look at me more worried this time. "You know, all I wanted is for you to be safe." He said and I look at him. He start walking and I follow him "I mean being a human is a most variable thing in the world." I look down as he talk.

"Sometimes I wish I was born a human, like you" he said, he look at me and smile "but I love my life more cause I met you" he said and I was shock, he startled "a-and the others too!" He said saving his dignity. At some point I laugh on that. "Oh really?" I said with a grin, he chuckle and look at the big window "indeed, I have fun being a human on earth." He said and his tail wiggled.

That means he's happy right? "Oh I gotta show you something!" He said excitedly that he drag me through the hallways. Yup! He's happy alright. As we get out I saw a garden full of fireflies and the place was amazing "amazing right? This is the Garden of Healing" he said, I look at him and ask "Garden of healing?" He nodded.

"Yup! You heared it. This garden can heal you and your feelings in no time!" he said and pointed at my chest. "You told me one time that someone broke your heart, so why not let's fix it!" He said. I look and laugh nonstop "are you stupid? that's not how it works Niku" I said and laugh more.

He pout and grab my hand, he let my hand touch the tree but nothing's happen. "See niku that's not how it works and besides, I've move on" I said. We sat down under the tree and niku hadn't spoke ever since.

"It has to work" he said and pout more, I chuckle "I told you that's not gonna work and I'm fine really you don't have to drag me here just to fix me up." I said and I accidentally rub his head. His tail wiggled as I rub it more, "There! There maki! Oh~ That's a spot!" He said and I laugh more he's acting like a dog. Wait, why do I feel jolly and happy at the moment? I let go of my hand but he put it back "Don't stop do it more." He said and pout at me. I blush though cause that was cute.

I sigh and rub it again by that he lay down on my lap "your hands are so soft maki" he said though his eyes are closed. I move his bangs a little and I feel weird, "stop being weird niku" I said and he open his one eye then smile at me "your the one who made me feel weird maki" he said, I smirk "and why's that?" I ask "you acted all lovely and kind and it makes my heart skip a beat" he said. Is he...FLIRTING!? At me!? I blush and push him out off my lap.

"N-no I'm not, you told me to rub your head!" I said and look away by that he grab my arm and drag me down and now I'm on top of him "w-what are you--!?" I said but suddenly he hug me. "I told you it'll work, I fix your broken heart" he whisper, I blush and I dive in to him "Baka, I'm not a human anymore, my heart is dead anyway." I said with a sad tone.

I hear his laughs "oh really? Then why's your heart beating so fast right now?" my eyes wided I broke the hug and look at him, he smile as his tail wiggled. I kept quiet I don't know what to say. "You like me right?" He ask sweetly.

"I.."

"Niku! You better stop leaving me outside that's the 98th time already!.....eh?" Sam said and she saw us on the floor, we blush and I spoke "t-this in not what it looks like!!" I shouted as I blush even more. Sam blink a couple times and turn around "sorry to ruin your moment you two, I'll just give you some privacy" she said and walk away "Sam!!" We said at the same time.

And by that, the others knows about it and Nozomi grin grew bigger and think of a idea for them.
