It was now 1 AM, Dazai insisted on walking me home since it was dangerous being alone at such a late hour. We got to know each other a little more, but nothing too big.

I had learned that he's part of the Armed Detective Agency, which is an ability user organization that fights criminals. His ability is No Longer Human, which allows him to nullify any ability with just a simple touch.

I told him I didn't have an actual job. I would usually stay at home drawing or painting, and when I wasn't doing any of that I wrote in my blog about different social injustices around the world.

(Aya is an activist period)

"So, in short, you don't have a life." Dazai chuckled.

"I DO have one!" I punched his arm playfully, giggling at his comment.

"So, do you have any friends?"

"..."

I stayed quiet. I didn't have any friends. I had moved to Yokahoma just to be with Ryo- my ex. He said he wanted us to live in different apartments in case something bad happened to any of us.

Now I know it's because he was fucking his ex.

"I don't have any friends." I broke the awkward silence. "I used to have a boyfriend though, until a few hours ago."

"Is that why you're face looks pretty messed up?" He lowered his face towards mine. Our height different was massive.

"You really love annoying others, don't you?" I rolled my eyes, feeling my cheeks glowing red.

He was too close.

I suddenly felt a pat on my head.

It was Dazai's.

He ruffled my hair and I cursed to him saying how bad he ruined my hair.

"Now I look even worse! Thanks idiot." I said aggravated.

"Really? You look pretty cute to me." He smirked, speeding up his footsteps leaving my face a blushing mess.

I was about to say something when I realized we were standing in front of my apartment building.

I stopped in front of it and sighed. I hadn't noticed how tired I really was, and still was processing everything that had happened in these last few hours.

"We're here."

I invited Dazai into my apartment, so he could take a shower and change his clothes. I had some spare male clothes- my ex's. I didn't want anything to do with him now, I didn't want to see him again. I was done.

I changed into more comfy clothes: sweatshirt and sweatpants. I looked at myself on my bathroom's mirror and didn't recognize the person standing in front of me.

"Holy shit I look like a mess." I spoke to myself.

My eyes were red and my whole face was puffy. My nose was bright red also, it always turns like that when I cry. My whole hair was messed up and mascara was running down from my eyes to my cheeks.

No wonder why Dazai kept annoying me over and over again.

I sighed and washed my face. I brushed my hair and composed myself. I look ten times better now.

When I left my room, I noticed Dazai was still on the shower, so I decided to prepare a hot meal for the both of us.

**Time skip because I'm lazy lols**

Moments later, I heard the guest room's door open. Ryo's clothes perfectly fitted on Dazai's slimmed, toned body- if not even more. He had a towel wrapped around his neck and caught me staring.

"Are you sure you don't like me, Aya?" He said teasingly.

He proceeds to come closer to where I was, I felt his stare on me as I kept chopping the vegetables. I tried calming myself down, but it was too late, I felt myself blushing... again.

Why does he only get to have fun in these situations?

"Are you sure you don't like me, Dazai?" I looked to his beautiful symmetrical face and smirked at him. "I can feel your eyes on me from meters away, you know."

"Whaaat??!" He said with a high-pitched voice. "Don't know what you're talking about." He whistled, avoiding what I said.

"Whatever." I finished chopping the vegetables and put them in the pot, then looked at Dazai who was standing like a useless pretty boy. "Help me cook or you're not eating shit."

"Yes ma'am!" Dazai sounded excited but firm, it made me laugh.

We spent cooking for around 15 minutes, and we- HE made a disaster on the kitchen.

"Never asking for your help on the kitchen ever again." I scowled, cleaning up all the mess made in the kitchen."

"Ohh so there will be a next time?" As soon after he said those words, he started eating his food.

"DAZAI! Why are you eating without me?!"

"What? You're the grumpy old lady who wanted to clean up first before eating." He swallowed the food. "Seriously, you're weird."

I growled. I sat next to him, grabbed my fork, and started eating annoyed.

I can't stand this pretty boy.

"Ahh so you finally decided to join." Dazai looked at me amused.

"Shut up, I'm eating." I said with my mouth full of food.

"You know..." Dazai paused for a few seconds before continuing speaking "You're spending New Years Eve with a stranger who almost drowned but you rescued, watched fireworks on an empty park and now he's eating on your apartment at 2:30 AM!"

I just looked at him. I said nothing. I was too busy staring at his captivating face features. No matter how many times I looked at him, he had this magnet around him which aroused me and forced me to be close to him. I don't know why I'm feeling this- I've never experienced this feeling- not even with Ryo.

It might be curiosity speaking- or attraction- or heartbreak- or all of those mentioned before. There was something about him, not even my own intuition could figure out. The only thing my own ability could figure out is that he has gone through a lot, and he wasn't always like this.

"Who are you?"
