this oneshot takes place during the date one for alarmy. so, during pride month

Unlike Aloha and Army (Who kept their relationship hidden for 3 years), Emperor and Gloves saw no need to hide their affection for one another. And it was a good thing, too. Emperor loved spoiling his partner with gifts and affection. But while Gloves doesn't have nearly as much cash as Emperor, they managed to give back with love, the knowledge of a lot of lesser-known shops and cafes, and of course their cursed late-night thoughts, which Emperor found rather endearing.
This little date took place in one of said cafes, in an area of Inkopolis called "Inkopolis Barrier", a more forest-like part of the city. Emperor had to admit, it was a rather charming place compared to downtown. He could see why Gloves decided to live here.
Another cool thing about the Barrier was how beautiful it got during Pride. Because of the wide color range of flowers that grew here, people would make beautiful art with them or pride based flower crowns. This was the reason Emperor had a pan one on his head.
The two had taken to a simple date at the café in the Barrier that specialized in milkshakes and smoothies. It wasn't anything big, but Emperor liked the moments like this. His hand was over Gloves', and smiled.
Gloves blushed, a bit of a shyer smile on their face-they were like this in public, on occasion-but that smile became a grin when the sever came over with the large strawberry milkshake, with 2 straws.
"I've never really had a milkshake." Emperor confessed, taking one of the straws. "What are they like?"
"They're like melted ice cream but better." Gloves explained, putting their mouth over one of the straws and drinking some of the milkshake.
Emperor shrugged and took a sip himself. The flavor exploded in his mouth, and and made a delighted noise. "They are really good!"
"I know, right!!" Gloves replied. "They're my favorite drink!!!"
The king smiled. This is why he loved his partner.
