Chapter 6: OH NO NO NO!

Perspective: Mads

At lunch, I get my food and sit down outside at a table by the cafeteria with my friends. When Jaden and Noah arrived, I see another boy who doesn't look like Josh. I think he is Nick. I waved at them to come over.

Nick: "hello! "
Mads: "hi! Are you Nick? "
Nick: "Yes, how did you know?"
Mads: "Jaden told me about you through text message. "
Jaden: "yeah, and she said that she was excited to meet you! "
Nick: "Aw! That's sweet!"

Jaden introduces the rest of us to our new friend Nick. We eat our food, and we chitchat. Until a bunch of guys come pointing at us.

Guy 1: "Jaden, you're really dating Mads!?"
Guy 2: "I SHIP THEM!" He shouts
Guy 3: "Give us an answer!"
Guy 1 and 2: "PLEASE!"

We stare in shock! Did Josh tell the whole school that we liked each other? I mean, we did, but we didn't tell him that! I am so mad, and I can see the angry look on Jaden's face too! Gosh, I never would've thought that he would have done something this problematic in my life!

Perspective: Jaden

I am so mad right now! I told him to keep it a secret, and he betrayed my trust! I can't tell Mads. I can never tell her! The whole school knows about us! I am so mad, and so sad that all I want to do is see Mads have a good relationship with her.

Jaden: "I'm gonna go find Josh!"
Noah: "Me too."

There is a swarm of freshman and sophomore's cheering, "JADs! JADS! JADS! JADS!" repeatedly.

Dixie: "did Jaden tell Josh something? "
Mads: " maybe, but I highly doubt it."
Charli: "I don't know, Mads. Jaden told me that Josh was acting a little mischievous on Monday and Tuesday."
Mads: "I noticed that."

After lunch, I go back to class. I sit next to Noe, neck, and Jaden. I try not to think about Bryce and Josh. All I wanted to do was hang out with my girls after we have dance and Dixie and Nessa's chess club.

At dance

At dance, I walk in to a dance studio with purple walls because of our school colors. Our school colors are purple, light green, and white. There were mats and a ballet bar in the back of the room. There were two girls standing by a mirror at one of the walls. I go up to them with Addison. The girl on the left had blonde hair and she was taller than the girl on the right. The second girl had brown skin and black curly hair.

Girl 1: "Good afternoon!"
Addison: "Hello!" She gives a curt smile.
Mads: "Hey." I thought they were going to say something like, "oh Em Gee are you Mads?"
Girl 1: "I'm Madison, but just call be Madi. That's my personal preference."
Mads: "OMG! My name's Madison too! But everyone just calls me Mads. "
Girl 2: "I'm Avani, nice to meet you guys." she says shyly
Mads: "do you remember me from lunch? Are you one of those freshman's that chanted, "I ship you guys! "
Avani: "No. We don't even know who you guys are! We're juniors and we're both 16."
Madi: " yeah, everyone was chanting and cheering, and we didn't know what was going on. But I totally get it and I know how you feel. "
Addison: "do you want to hang out with us after school? We are going to Mads's house, and she said that we can hang out. "
Madi: " that would be amazing! I would love to get you to know your friends! "
Addison: "it will just be us girls. Do you see those girls over there? " she points at Charli and other dancers talking to each other in the back.
Avani: "Yeah."
Mads: "well the one at the left end is coming too! We are also inviting Dixie and Nessa from the chess club. We are friends with them too! "
Maddie"that's a lot of people, but will be there! "

I tell Charlie that more people will be at our hang out today. I text Dixie and Nessa in a group chat saying that two more girls are welcome to be at our hang out after we are finished with our clubs. I am very excited!
