Chapter 9: Mads and Jaden

Perspective: Mads

2 days later, it was a Tuesday. Since we didn't have school on Monday, we stayed an extra night at Jaden's house. I still haven't told my friends that I am dating Jaden. I get dressed for school and put on a messy bun. Riley walks in my room.

Riley: "Hey."
Mads: "Can you knock next time please?"
Riley: "Kk."
Mads: " whatever you want, go ask mom. I'm getting ready for school. "
Riley "mom is already at work and dad is leaving for work. "
Mads: "so what were you gonna ask? "
Riley: "since mom and dad are gone, can you take me to Starbucks? "
Mads: " what about Dunkin?"
Riley: "no. I really want a pink drink and they don't have it at Dunkin. "
Mads: "OK, fine. But you should really try Dunkin. I like to get their cold brews." Riley looks disgusted.

When we finished getting ready, I go to Starbucks with Riley in my car. I get the vanilla bean Frappuccino with whip cream and caramel drizzle. While we are waiting in line, I get a text from Nessa.

Nessa: Hey mads! I cant wait to see you at school!
Mads: i'm waiting in the Starbucks line with my sister, do you want anything?
Nessa: yeah! Can you get my usual order?
Mads: sure!
Nessa: we should get Dixie and Addison and Char their orders to surprise them.
Mads: OK, I'll just do a mobile order then
Nessa colon OK, that sounds good!

At school

When me and Riley get out of my car, Riley goes to her usual spot, and I go to mine. I see Nessa standing by the parking lot wait in front of everyone else. She look like she was waiting for me.

Mads: "Hey Ness!"
Nessa: "Good morning!"

I hand Nessa her drink.

Nessa: "Thanks so much Mads!"

We walk up to Addison and Dixie.

Addison: "hi guys! As, did you bring me my Starbucks order? "
Mads: "yes. I have to take my sister to school now, and she wanted Starbucks. "
Dixie clinical thank you Mads! "
Madison: "why are you smiling?"

LOL, I've been smiling for a while.

Mads: "I have to tell you something, but it can wait till lunch. "
Nessa: "come on, please!? "
Addison and Dixie: "please please please please please? " they beg
Mads: "Nessa, I will only tell you, but you can't tell anyone until lunch. "

Me and Nessa go to the quietest restroom because I really had to go, and I can tell her what I was going to tell her.

Mads: "Ok, promise you won't tell anyone like Josh did? "
Nessa: " I swear to my life."
Mads: " Me and Jaden are dating. "
Nessa: " oh my gosh! I totally ship you two! Jads has been sailed!"
Mads: "Jads?"
Nessa: "Jaden plus Mads equals Jads!"
Mads: " I like it. Is that what people were chanting the other day when josh told the whole school we like each other? "
Nessa: "yes. " she softly smiles
Mads: "if I tell the boys that we are dating, they are going to flip! They're probably going to make a huge deal about us like any teenage boy. "
Nessa: "So that's why we are waiting until lunch. " she gets the gist.

Respective: Jaden

So, ever since me and Mads started dating, I understood why she didn't want things to be too serious. I I think our relationship is great!  At school, I come a bit later than usual, but I'm not late for school. I go and find Noah, who is sitting next to the cafeteria.

Jaden: "What's up, Noah?"
Noah: "Just eating some Cheetos, do you want some?"
Cheating: "I just had breakfast, but I'll take a few. I want to tell you something, but because of Josh, I don't want to tell Bryce and Josh. "
Noah: "I know it has something to do with Mads. " he teases
Jaden: " it certainly does. "
Noah: "what is it?"
Jaden: "Mads is officially my girlfriend! "
Noah: "I know."
Jaden: "Noah, your playing with me."
Noah: " I may or may not have sneak outside because I heard footsteps. And I may or may not have taken a picture of you guys. "
Jaden: "I trust you more than I trust Josh So please don't Josh me. "
Noah: "I would never do what Josh did to you. "
Jaden: "you're so unproblematic! "We do a handshake

I go to class and sit by Nick. Price comes in and sits down in front of us.

Nick: "hey Jaden."
Jaden: " good morning Nick. "
Bryce: " so, I think Josh and Nessa like which other."
Nick and Jaden: " what do you mean? "
Bryce corn "why do you act so shocked? "
Jaden: "1st of all, you didn't tell us why you think that, and second of all, why do you like to talk behind people's backs? "
Bryce: "why would you ask? I'm not going to tell him. "
Nick: "tell him what? "
Bryce: " that he likes her, duh!"

We stare at each other and I mumble under my breath, "he's so problematic. "Nick not his head in agreement. Since Bryce about Josh and Nessa, I didn't want to trust him by telling him about me and Mads. Boys like Noah and Nick are people that care, people that won't betray your trust and deserve more.
