Today is the day. I dressed in the same stuff I have for my workouts and was given a nice breakfast of eggs and toast with bacon my Sensei, which was a rare treat. I was told to go to a certain room while the other applicants took tests. Due to my... past, I was exempted from the written exam. I learned the basics on the side with the other pro heroes, but I haven't retained enough to be able to do those quizzes.
Then came the explanation for the practical exam. There were three different kinds of robots we had to destroy. One, Two, and Three-pointers. There was a fourth, but the exam proctor, Present Mic, said to not worry about them after a somewhat uptight boy called it out. Everybody was given a city, between A and C. I was given city C and taken there by Sensei before the other students got there. I was waiting by the entrance when everybody else showed up. There were a few mutant-type quirks. I saw a guy with 6 arms, and another girl with a wide mouth. I stayed in the corner, away from everybody.
Present mic then appeared on the screen, "Now go for it kids!" A few people stared dumbfounded at the screen, but I and a good three-quarters of the group ran into the city. I pulled the tablet out of my pocket and began scrolling through, looking for something that could give me a speed and strength edge against the robots. I found one I liked, closed my eyes, and yelled out, "Land of the Hidden Villages, Sharingan!" And when I opened my eyes again, they were red and moving. The line around my pupil went from one to two, then to three tomoe. And then I sped off, easily getting to the front of the pack. I turned away from them and met my first group of robots.
"Land of hidden Villages, Elemental Jutsu! Lightning Style: Chidori!" My vision focused on the group of roughly four three-pointers, two one-pointers, and a two-pointer. In a split second, I dashed between them, my hand outstretched. Lightning consumed my hand and I punctured each robot, frying their circuits and knocking them over. The lightning around my hand faded and I dodged a missile with the sharingans reflexes.
I looked over and made a few hand signs. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" I blew into my fingers and a giant orb of fire crashed into the robot, melting its glass eye. The exam went like this for a while, my eyes were sore and some blood had started to come out of them. There were maybe 2 minutes left when I heard rumbling. I deactivated the Sharingan before I went blind and turned around. In the center of the city, a 45-meter tall robot emerged with a 0 on the side of its head.
I heard screams and began running towards the robot, scrolling through my tablet for something big enough to take it out. I ran straight to the road it was on, seeing its treads about to come down on a few examinees. They all began running out of the way, leaving a blonde girl trapped under the rubble. Vines enveloped her in a last-ditch effort, but I knew it wouldn't hold The site almost brought bile to my mouth, and I pulled out my tablet.
I was looking for something fast and found it. "Demon Slayer, Thunder Breathing Technique!" A sword materialized at my waist, but I didn't bother using it. I hunched over, my lungs taking in more air than I've ever thought possible my legs and arms filled with more blood as my heart rate rose. My legs tensed. "Improvised technique, Thunder Clap Dash!" In a split second, I went from a block away to just out of reach of the treads. In a flash of lightning, the blonde girl in my arms. A hole through her vines. Her vibrant green eyes shown, her eyes looked wet, but no tears have fallen. Still using the breathing, I ran to the other examinees and left the girl in their care.
I turned towards the monstrous mountain of metal, knowing I had to do something before other people got hurt by it. I scrolled through my tablet, finding the destructive force I needed. I brought my hand up to my mouth. "Attack on Titan, Armoured Titan!" I bit my hand, drawing blood. Lightning struck me and I felt the heat, meat, and bone envelope me. I grew taller, my mouth growing wider. My hair elongated down my face. Hardened skin grew and pressed into my body, coating me in the biological armor. The plates over my mouth opened and I took a breath, fire escaping my jaws. I was 15 meters tall easily, and capable of what I needed.
I swung my shoulder forward, leaning forward and preparing to charge. I dug my feet in and ran straight at the treads. They didn't stand a chance. They were a thin metal, with spikes to give it traction. The metal crumpled as I made contact, and I dug it out. Leaving it immobile, I dug my armored hands into its side and climbed. I reached the top of its head and slowly brought my hands above my head. I brought them down with a grunt, feeling the metal, cables, and gears give way from my hands. I did this over and over, making its head look more like a large green saucer. I jumped down, and my vision went black for a moment until I reappeared on the back of the titan, with its face on the ground.
As I slid down the side of it to land on the ground again, the buzzer went off signifying the end of the exam while the 0 pointer landed with a loud boom and crash. I looked around and for some reason, everybody was staring at me wide-eyed. I glared at the kids who ran, and they avoided my gaze. Good. but everybody else was... uncomfortable, so I left as fast as I could.
Once back to the dorm, I sat in the commons area, waiting for Sensei to come back to tell me how I did. I must've fallen asleep because I woke up to the sound of knocking at the door. It was heavy, not sensei because he normally comes in without hesitation. I opened the door to reveal a large muscular man, with yellow hair that comes up kinda like a bunny, with dark eyes and a big, white smile. I knew who this was.
"A-All Might! What are you..?" He laughed. "I came for 2 reasons young man! First things first, how are you doing? I haven't seen you since the gate almost killed you!" It was him! He saved me! "I-I'm doing okay.." His smile faltered slightly. "Well good! Next, I came to talk about your exam results in person! May I come in?" I stepped aside and led him to the common area in a daze. I sat on the recliner and he sat on the couch across from me which bowed under his weight. I cleared my throat. "What was wrong with my exam results?" His eyes darkened his bright blue iris' disappearing.
