Ah yes the concept that made me start this book because I didn't want to put it into my private Drabble book full of incomplete oneshots ☕️

  Me, Leorio, Kurapika and Melody had all decided to go to a Karaoke place to relax and wind down, Leorio being the one to suggest the idea.

We all sat down in the dark electrifying modern aesthetically pleasing room, that was oh so perfectly lit with magenta purple lights, it perfectly illuminated my blonde coworker and friend.

  The boy was always so gracefully beautiful, no matter what he did, it was hard not to fall for him like I did, he's so gorgeous, even when at his lowest. It was a mystery to me how a person that ethereal is a loud to walk the streets.

I often hinted at my romantic feelings for Kurapika, only to be shot down, invalidated, or for my undertones to not be picked up at all.

Kurapika took note of my admiring, and called me out, "(Y/N), what's the matter, you've been staring at me for quite some time now, do you wish to leave? You were very excited about coming but I'd understand-"

"Nothings wrong Kurapika, you're just extraordinarily beautiful." I cut the boy of.

I saw a hint of red spread across the Kurta's face, paying no regard to it as Kurapika face morphs into something of confusion. He didn't utter a word.

That was a new response, exciting.

I looked over to Leorio "You can go first I don't mind." He nodded and shuffled over to the karaoke machine to pick a song.

Soon his song began playing, he chose 'Dont you want me baby' by Human League.

Everything was going alright, Leorio was having fun and we all watched while cheering him on, he was about to reach the chorus when the machine shut off.

  Leorio shook it a few times but it was no use, the machine wouldn't turn back on.

  "Well great, I'm going to have to go speak to the manager about this" Leorio spoke aggravated.

Kurapika got up to go with him but Melody quickly shot him down. "It's okay Kurapika, I'll go."

   "Are you sure Melody?" The blonde asked, which Melody responded to with a slight head nod. Kurapika just sat back down.

  The two walked out the room. It was just him and me. We were all alone. An awkward silence filled the room quickly.

Soon the machine turned back on, and the song picked up from where it last left off...

I pondered for a moment and turned to my blonde companion.

   "Don't you want me baby!" I sung out to him, causing him to shake his head slightly in disappointment. That was an expected response but I continued. "Don't you want me oooh!" I got up and stood right in front of him, holding my hand out the the blonde male. He just shook his head again, but this time he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. "Don't you want me baby" he sung in a hushed tone. "Don't you want me oooh."

   The music continued playing but we stayed silent, my face was as red as Kurapika's scarlet eyes. However luckily my face was hidden in the Kurta's chest. His heartbeat was calming, it was beating rapidly. Is this what Melody hears on a daily basis? It was nice...

  "Kurapika what was that...?" I whispered to him.

  "Revenge." He rested head on mine, putting it to where if he just moved slightly closer he'd kiss the top of my hair.

"And what is this..?"

"Something I've wanted to do for a long time, but just never realized" he whispered. He continues "(Y/N), I like you a lot, I'm pretty sure this is what one calls love... and I never realized this until Leorio and Melody made it painfully obvious, and I'm pretty sure you feel the same, as I look back your romantic advances were clear as day, it just seems I had rose tinted glasses on the whole time..."

  "Really? It seems like I've waited forever to hear those words. I've loved you for so long.."

  The blonde kissed the top of my head "How long exactly..?"

"A year...maybe two..." I softly spoke.

"That long? I'm sorry (Y/N) for being so dense.." I looked up to look at Kurapika's face, it was extremely red. Unconsciously we moved closer together, about to kiss...

"Hey guys we're back, and- Are we interrupting something?" Leorio and Melody burst through the door.

Kurapika lifts his head to look at the tall male "What do you think Leorio?"

"Man how long were we gone? You two lovebirds got together and the Karaoke machine started working again. Why cant I have a girl like you Kurapika?" Leorio whined a bit.

"Have a girl like you Kurapika" I haven't even considered our current relationship... I guess I'm his now, I'm not necessarily complaining about it though.

"Leorio, some people just get lucky, as for me I consider myself to be one of the luckiest."

My face grew slightly redder, which I didn't even know was possible at this point.

"Stop being in love for a second! You're hurting my single-ness" Leorio yelled at Kurapika.

We all burst into laughter and then get back to having fun singing.
