Virgil let out a yell as he was shoved against the metal lockers. He cringed as the locks dug into his back pressing against his ribs. "Hey Street Rat! Watch where your going next time" It was Dave Ram, one of the Rich's. He was a year ahead of Virgil(Virgil is a freshman) and over a foot taller then him. "I don't wanna be touched by your filth. Now apologies for walking into me." Virgil glared at him, he hadn't done anything wrong. He was just walking out the lunch room with his food when this idiot slammed into him, but he was a Street Rat and Dave was a Rich and no teacher would stop this. Virgil mumbled under his breath an apology. He really didn't feel like being beaten up right now. 

"Say it louder. I couldn't hear you"

"I'm sorry" 

"Don't do it again" Dave let Virgil go and turned to his friends who had been laughing at him the whole time and turned around to walk away. Virgil stayed on the floor glaring at them before muttering "Idiots" That was a mistake. Dave and his friends instantly turned on their heels and walked up to him. Virgil looked up from the floor to see 3 boy's towering over him with a look of anger on their faces.

"What did you say"

Virgil couldn't talk, his mouth was dry and he could feel his anxiety spiking. This was not good.

"Answer me you brat!"

Virgil shook his head and backed against the locker shrinking away from their tall forms. He could hear them screaming at him but all he could focus on was trying to hold back a panic attack. Suddenly he felt a kick to the ribs. Pain shot through his body and he doubled over, all of his anxiety quickly being taken over by pain.

Roman walked out of the lunch room carrying his tray. Patton and Logan walked on either side of him as they walked though the hallway trying to get outside to eat their lunch. Well that was the plan anyway but when they walked up to see Dave a bully who had been tormenting them for years beating up some little kid Roman decided he needed to be a prince and help.

"Hey Dave! Why you beating up some little kid. How about you pick on someone your own size"

Logan sighed and Dave signaled to his friends to leave the smaller boy alone. Dave slowly walked up to Roman till there was only a few inches in between them.

"And who would that be shorty."

Roman puffed his chest, even standing at his tallest he was at most 5 foot or about chest hight on Dave.

"Ok then closer to your size. But you know being short in a fight can be pretty help full."

"Oh yah. Hows that."

"You'll see"

Dave quickly pulled back his fist and aimed a punch to Romans face. He ducked and moved in close avoiding the few punches Dave threw at him. Roman got in close to Dave and said "Sorry not sorry" and rammed his knee upward, hitting Dave where the sun don't shine. Dave crumpled to the ground with a groan. Roman looked up with a joyous look on his face. It wasn't often he won a fight. But the joy was quickly diminished when he felt Patton grab his arm. "Come on Roman. Dave's friends went to grab a teacher we need to leave." Roman looked at Logan who was carrying 3 lunch trays and remembered the boy on the floor. He grabbed the boy by the arm "Come on we need to run" and dragged him along with his friends outside ignoring the teachers calls behind him.

"Now that we are safe may I ask who you are?"

Logan looked down at the boy Roman had dragged along and handed him his lunch tray. Luckily the school put their sandwiches in plastic wrap so his sandwich was fine. He watched as the boy tentatively grabbed the tray and noticed that this boy was probably another Street Rat. There weren't all too many that were assigned to this school so they were easy targets.

"Hey there kiddo! I'm Patton and this is Logan. That one who beat up Dave for you is Roman. Whats your name?"

"Virgil. Umm. Thanks for saving me or whatever and thanks for grabbing my lunch."

"Nu poroblum" Logan looked over at Roman who had already started stuffing his face with the sandwich and took another bite. It probably wouldn't be long before a teacher showed up and they needed to eat while they could.

"Virgil why was Dave beating you up?"

"Patton I'm sure he would just like to eat his lunch. Dave is an imbecile that never plans anything. he probably felt like beating someone up and Virgil was the unfortunate person of a lower class to be effected by this."

"Well you not wrong. I was just trying to eat my lunch and he attacked. I'm used to it"

Logan was about to ask the boy another question when another boy in a yellow shirt ran up. "Virgil we were not looking for you! Where were you?" Patton, Logan, and Roman all gave the boy a strange look. "Yah sorry, Dave decided to attack me and these guys helped me out. Dee this is Logan, Patton, and Roman. Also Dee likes to speak in lies, so try not to get too confused" Virgil said turning to the three boy's. "Thanks for helping him out. Come on we don't have to go. Bye." The three boys waved good bye as Janus and Virgil walked away and went back to their lunch.

Virgil and Janus walked up to Remus on the other side of the school. It was where they usually ate lunch because eating in the lunch room was a big no, no. Unless you felt like being bullied and not being able to eat your food then go on ahead. Remus sat up when the two sat down and said. "Heeeellllloo Virge! Where were you?"

"He was with some other boy's they said you got in a fight are you all right Virgil?"

"Ooooohh. Where they doi-"

"WHAT NO REMUS! I'm fine, they just got Dave off my back. luckily they grabbed my lunch for me so at least I still get to eat." 

"oooookkkkkkkaaaaaayyyyyy"

Janus sighed as Remus and Virgil started yelling at each other. He often felt like their mother when they started fighting. " I swear if you two shut up!" Janus finally shouted. Virgil and Remus looked at each other locking eye's. "No! Don't you DARE!" 

"So... You do want us to do it" Remus said with a smile

"I think he does" Virgil said with a smirk.

The two boys jumped onto their smaller friend and Janus screamed while the other two laughed. Janus yelled at his friends as they pinned him to the ground and tried to fight his way out. They all laughed when he finally gave in and called uncle and flopped on the ground sitting facing each other. They were happy which was rare and wanted to remember this moment.

Hey I still don't know how to finish chapters!! But the two groups have started to meet each other so YAY! Hope you all like it.
