Virgil woke up the next morning and was surprised by the extra number of people. He had forgotten that Patton, Roman, and Logan had stayed with them. We wormed his way out of the pile of arms and saw Patton sitting near the entrance of the alley. He walked over and sat next to him drawing in the dirt. "Hey kiddo what you drawing?" Patton asked while looking over his shoulder.

"Just the city. Why are you awake so early?" Virgil responded

"What do you mean. From the sun I'd say we have to wake everyone up soon."

"Oh I guess I slept in"

"Do you usually wake up before everyone else?" Patton said and Virgil looked up from his drawing

"Uh yah I guess. I just get nervous about sleeping in too late or someone finding us. But it's kinda lonely." Virgil said shrugging

"Well I usual wake up first too so we can talk now."

"Yah that sounds good" Virgil was suddenly pulled into a hug by Patton. He normally didn't like physical contact but he for some reason was fine with Patton.

The 6 boys all walked to school together and agreed to meet up by the flag pole before Roman had rehearsal to get some jackets from the nurse. And thats where Janus was standing with Virgil and Remus waiting for the others to come. They had some how avoided any fights that day so it was a pretty good one. They looked up when they heard Roman shouting "Hey guys you ready. We only have like 15 minutes."

"Well we would have had more time if you weren't late" Virgil said back as they walked.

"It's not our fault, Dave decided he wanted a fight." Roman said with a shrug. What was it with Dave and picking on them(It's almost like the author is too lazy to come up with a different character. HEY GET OUT NARRATOR PERSON THIS IS MY BOOK)  They walked up to the nurses office and Roman nocked on the door to the tune of Alexander Hamilton, and the nurse opened the door. "What do you Street Rats want" Looks like she was like all the other teachers.

"Salutations Ma'am. We require coats for a winter and the school said that they were available here. May we come in a look for some?" Logan asked. They had decided to let Logan and Patton do most of the talking because they were the ones least likely to say something that would get them in trouble.

"Fine come in. Look through the box." The nurse stepped aside and pulled out a box with coats for everyone to look though. They were all small kids but a large coat just meant it would be warmer. In the end Roman had found a red letterman jacket that fit him pretty well, Patton had found a cat hoodie and they all knew they would face the torment of cat puns for a while, Logan found a plain dark blue coat, Remus a green sweatshirt with a rat on it(Who even makes a sweatshirt with a rat on it?), De grabbed a black coat with a yellow trim, and Virgil had found a black sweatshirt with purple patches and a small storm cloud over where your hear would be.

They all quickly left and headed for the theater. "We'll not meet you guys at the same place we slept last night." Janus said pulling up the zipper of his coat. "Do you guys want to come with us to the theater. I'm sure the director wouldn't mind some more people to work tech." Roman said.

"Yah and that way we don't have to get separated." Patton said pulling Virgil under his arm. Virgil quickly ducked out of Patton's arm and gave him a small smile when he saw the hurt look on his face.

"That doesn't sound like a good idea." Janus looked at Remus and Virgil who nodded.

"I guess we're theater geeks now." Remus loudly proclaimed. Roman laughed and playfully punched him on the shoulder as he opened the door. The director was indeed happy to have more kids on crew and gave them all assignments as Roman waled on stage. They were doing Anastasia and Roman was playing Dmitry.

Virgil looked up from his painting when he heard Roman start to sing. He had to admit he was pretty good. He looked over to see Remus who was thinking the same thing. He was about to comment on it when he saw Remus had messed up the wall they were painting. "How did he even mess it up. They just needed to pain the thing gray!" Virgil thought. He quickly taught Remus how to do it correctly and fixed the painting. This was going to be a LONG hour of baby sitting Remus wasn't it.
