Y/n pov:
I woke up to the sound of my door creaking, not thinking anything of it until a giant body jumps on top of me. Causing me to groan in pain.
"Owww what the fuck Ruel" you mumble into your pillow
Unable to move from him completely laying on top of you, you push him off of you so your head is resting on his chest. Ruel was your childhood best friend. You guys did everything together and it wasn't a surprise that you caught feelings. You of course never told him because the feelings would never be mutual, he only sees you like his little sister.
"Heyyy bub. Two things one I gotta tell you something and then two we are going to the beach deal?"
"Can't we just stay here and relax?"
"Nope." Ruel said popping the p.
I groaned but finally sat up. Hoping it would just be a chill day and nothing too over the top.
Ruels pov:
"Ok so what did you want to tell me?" She asked
"Well...there's this girl I like."
Once I said that her smile immediately dropped. She almost looked sad? I brushed it off when she nodded her head for me to continue.
"She's got y/c/e, the brightest smile, y/c/h. I've known her for a while and I honestly couldn't imagine my life without her."
"I-I'm really happy for you that's grea-t Ruel" she mumbled
Wait does she not know it's her?
"I'm gonna go get ready so I- I'll be right back" she said running and locking herself into the bathroom
I don't know why she's acting this way I mean, she has to know it's her and even if she did she would never like me back. After about 20 minutes she came out with her head down ready to go. It almost looked like she had been crying but I didn't wanna push it. We both made our way into the car and I started driving to the beach. I tried to calm the tension by placing my hand on her thigh, this wasn't usual since I've done it many times before. As soon as I did that I felt her flinch. Making me immediately take my hand off and back onto the steering wheel. Neither of us talked for the rest of the drive and we finally pulled up to the beach. I ran out of my side to her door and opened it for her.
"Thank you" she mumbled barely over a whisper. Still not looking me into the eyes.
We made it to our spot away from everyone else as we had small talk every once in a while. I decided this had been going on for long enough and needed to get an answer.
"Y/n what's going on with you, and don't give me that 'I'm fine' bullshit because I know your not" I said softly
"It's nothing"
"Y/n."
"Ruel I said it's nothing"
"If it's nothing then why are you acting like this? We always talk 24/7, there's never tension, you have never flinched when I touched you and your scaring me. It's like you don't wanna be close to me and I can't loose you y/n. You're my everything"
"I like you Ruel. There are you happy? I have to listen to you talking about this girl who seems perfect when I would do anything to be with you. Fuck I don't like you, I love you. So much and I know you will never feel the same."
Y/n pov:
Well there's no hiding the fact that it's out now. I stare at him with tears in my eyes until suddenly I'm pulled into his lap. Once our faces are almost touching Ruel smashes his lips against mine. I kiss back almost instantly feeling the butterflies in my stomach. After a few minutes we pull back for air and rest our foreheads together.
"Y/n the girl I was talking about is you, I've always loved you and I'll never stop. Please I'm sorry you got the wrong message but I promise I only want you."
I smile as I crash my lips back onto his never wanted this moment to end.
"Will..you..please..be..my..girlfriend?" Ruel mumbled against my lips.
"Of course I will." I mumbled as well, causing us both to chuckle.
Best day ever.
