Sophie leaped home from school, changed quickly, brushed her hair, and grabbed a couple books.

"Going outside to do some homework!" she called to her parents, running out the door before she heard their reply.

Sophie practically sprinted the whole way to the Creekbridge pasture, where Keefe had left a note telling her to meet him. When she finally reached it- it was pretty far away- there he was. He had apparently taken the time to change into a pretty nice outfit and re-style his hair. He was leaning against a tree, arms crossed, cape blowing in the wind which had slightly mussed his hair. His face was tilted towards the sky, but when he heard her coming, he looked at her. When she was getting close, he pushed off the tree and stepped towards her.

"Miss me, Foster?" he asked, amused.

Sophie, embarrassed, slowed her pace and straightened her light purple sundress.

"I don't mind," he smirked, holding out his arms wide for a hug.

Sophie ignored him, instead glancing at the sky.

"What were you looking at?"

"The clouds. Join me? And he plopped down on his back in the grass, arms behind his head.

Sophie laughed, then laid down beside him. They looked up at the clouds together.

"That one looks like a lollipop," Sophie said, laughing.

"A what now?" Keefe asked, confused.

She giggled. "A human thing."

They were quiet a minute, then Keefe pointed. "I swear, that round one looks just like a tomple."

"Keefe! It's a cloud! All clouds look like tomples!"

He sighed. "You're too smart, Foster." He rolled onto his side, propping himself up with his elbow. He watched Sophie for a while, until she did the same.

"What?" she asked when he continued staring at her.

"Sorry," he said, but made no effort to look away.

Sophie laughed. "You're staring, you realize that?"

"Guilty as charged. But you do have a little food on your face." He reached for her with his free hand, tracing his fingers down her face and letting them come to rest on her lips.

"There's no food on my-" Keefe cut her off by leaning over, moving his hand to her loose hair, and kissing her. The warm sun fell across their faces and the cool breeze rippled the grass, tickling their skin as they kissed.

After a while, Keefe sat up. "I almost forgot! I brought you a picnic!"

"A... picnic?" Sophie repeated, still not quite ready to form words after their kiss. "What for?"

"For you, silly." And he reached around the tree, pulling out a picnic basket.

"Keefe!" Sophie looked at him "That's so sweet!"

"Well, we never did have lunch, so..." he began pulling out plates of delicious-looking food.

"Keefe... are any of these actually food?" Sophie asked, noticing the basket was mostly full of butterblasts and rifflepuffs and custard bursts and indigoobers. So many indigoobers. Sophie recognised them from when Edaline had made a batch for Brant. She had never tasted one, though.

"Um, yeah. Dessert is food." Keefe retorted with a smirk.

Sophie sighed, laughing. "You are ridiculous."
