They did stay forever. For the rest of their lives to be exact.

10 years

"Do you remember when you asked me to be your boyfriend?" Roger asked Brian as they laid on the couch in their living room. "Of corse I do." Brian said.

"Did you imagine us to still be here? We're adults now! 28 years old. 10 years later and I'm still dating my high school sweetheart." Roger said. "I always thought we'd be together for a long time." Brian admitted. "Together forever, actually." Brian said with a small blush.

20 years

"38 and still going strong." Freddie said to Roger on his birthday. "I wouldn't be going strong if it wasn't for this guy." Roger signalled to the tall brunette.

"I can't believe you guys are still together! I always knew there was something so special between you two." Freddie stated.

John sneaked up behind Freddie and covered hisneyes, "Guess wwho?" John asked. "I'm not dumb John. Hello darling." John uncovered Freddie's eyes and kissed his cheek. "Hi baby." John said with a sweet smile.

30 years

The group of boys sat in the hospital. Roger's leg bounced up and down at a frantic rate. Brian chewed at his bottom lip. John was walking back and forth.

"John Decon-Mercury, Brian May-Taylor, Roger Taylor-May. Follow me." A doctor instructed.

The doctor opened a door that led to an all white room with three plastic chairs. "Sit down." The doctor said.

Roger had a bad feeling in his chest.

"Freddie Mercury-Deacon passed away at 3:18pm today." The dcotor got straight to the point.

The room went silent. The first person to make any noise was John. John whimpered and sharply inhaled.

Brian turned to look at Roger. Roger had his mouth open and was silently crying.

"You have to be wrong. He isn't dead. He's only 48. You're wrong." Roger was getting angry, he wasn't even sure why.

"I am right Mr. Taylor-May. I'm sorry for your loss." The doctor walked out if the room and left the three boys.

John looked pale. Roger heart broke looking at John, John's one and only, the love of his life, just died.

Brian wasn't as close to Freddie as the other two boys were, but he was devastated.

Roger was a mess. He was sobbing into his hands. He was pulling at his now short, blonde hair. Brian pulled the two boys out of their seat and hugged them in a small group hug. But, this wasn't like a group hug you'd recieve in Summer camp. Life isn't like Summer camp anymore.

They all cried in a heap together.

Freddie was gone.

40 years

It took everyone a long time to get over Freddie. But, they all knew they would have to move on, even if they don't want to. John never dated anyone again. He didn't want to.

Roger never met anyone like Freddie, no one can have a personality like Freddie fucking Mercury.

Brian has been there for the two boys since the day Freddie passed. Sometimes, late at night, John would call Brian a sobbing mess saying he had nightmares. Brian would kiss Roger a quick goodbye, get out of bed, and drive straight to John's house. It didn't matter what time it was.

Sometimes, Roger would find a small thing that would remind him of Freddie amd break down. Sometimes these break downs will last for minutes, other times, they last for hours, or even days.

One of the worst break downs Roger had was when he found a picture of Brian, John, Freddie, and himself at Roger and Brian's wedding. He didn't stop crying for 5 days.

Brian was there for him the whole time.

Brian is a blessing, an angel even.

Roger is a strong boy. Full of wisdom and stupid dad jokes.

Who knew you could find the love of your life in a smelly bear costume.
