“I can’t believe he’s gone,” Haidley sobbed, curled up in her bed while her daughter was asleep in the designated babies’ room for the time being with Casey watching over her.

Grace sat with her best friend, not knowing what to say. Sophie and Rosie were looking after Alex, Danny and Felicia at the moment near the TV, the sound being set on low so it was a back ground noise.

“How about we go out, leave the kids here with mum and dad?” she suggested and Haidley sniffled, rolling her eyes at Grace.

“Okay,” she whispered and grabbed her Nunchucks, wrapped in orange tape.

Grace walked out to look for her parents, finding her mother in the kitchen.

“Hey, the girls and I are going out on patrol,” she said and April turned to her.

“I’m so keen to look after four one-year-olds,” she grinned and Grace smiled, grabbing her twin blade katana.

“Girls,” she called, walking out into the TV room.

Sophie and Rosie glanced up, noticing their leader pulling her red bandanna over her blue eyes. The two girls grinned and went to find their own bandanna and weapons.

“Be careful girls,” April called, seeing the girls ready for the night.

“We shouldn’t be too long,” Grace said and sprinted out, the girls following behind.

“I’ve missed this,” Grace breathed and the other girls nodded, Haidley included.

Grace looked at the orange-banded girl before glancing back out at the scene before them, the street clear as far as the eye could see.

“Grace, I’m picking up some Purple Dragon activity a bit further downtown,” Sophie said and Haidley cracked her knuckles, itching to fight.

“Let’s go pay them a visit.”

“And that is how you kick butt,” Haidley said before turning and knocking down the final Purple Dragon. “Cowabunga.”

Sophie, who was closest to Haidley, froze and looked at her pink haired friend. Haidley’s eyes began to water and she covered her face with her hands. Sophie wrapped her arms around Haidley’s shoulders, pulling her into the shadows and out of sight.

“I miss him so much,” Haidley cried, her thin body shaking with each sob. “Why did it have to be him? Mikey didn’t do anything wrong.”

“That’s right,” Sophie said and held Haidley an arms-length away. “He didn’t do anything. He died a hero. It’s what he has always wanted to be. Turtle Titan is resting in peace knowing he saved a little child whose life has only just begun. Mikey would want you to take the time to heal properly, look after June and eventually move on. He loves you and always will.”

Grace and Rosie made their way over to the two girls in the shadows, the Purple Dragon wimps running away. Grace pushed her bandanna up to her forehead, staring at Haidley as she hiccupped, wanting to help her best friend.

“I’ll be fine,” she whispered. “As long as June is alright, everything will be okay.”

The girls made their way home, Grace feeling like someone is watching them. A few times she turned around to search for whatever is causing the feeling but she came up blank every time. Eventually she climbed into the sewers, placing the heavy man hole cover back in its place, unaware of the many eyes that were watching her.

“Sir, we have reason to believe one of the turtles has been killed in action,” one said.

This is perfect,” came the answer. “We just need to wait for the others to be gone and then we attack.”

“Yes sir.”

Another figure, dress in black leggings with metal plates on their knees and calves and a black long sleeved shirt with metal armour glared down at the man hole, eyes narrowing.

“Why won’t he let us fight them now?” one of the Foot Ninjas asked and the figure turned her head, the tails of her red bandanna flying behind her.

“Orders are orders,” she said. “Do not question them.”

“Yes mistress Karai.”

“I trust you know what to do.”

“Yes sir, I have everything under control.”

“And they won’t suspect a thing?”

“No.”

“Good.”

“Sir, may I ask, why am I doing this?”

“Because they won’t suspect a thing. Now go and prepare yourself, await more news of the turtles, then strike.”

“Hai, sensei.”
