“Hey guys, look,” Rosie said, looking at Don’s monitors for the underground sewer entrance. “Someone is trying to enter the lair.”

“They’re back,” Sophie gleamed and Gracie smiled, looking at Alex, whose eyes were wide while staring at the flashing lights.

Alex’s reddish-brown eyes grew wide as the flashing lights grew bigger and the four and a half year old started giggling in Gracie’s arms.

“Daddy is home.”

Haidley watched on, wishing Mikey would be coming home. The family haven’t heard anything since 2010 and Haidley, along with Splinter, had grown worried something had happened.

An unfamiliar submarine raised out of the water, narrowly missing the Shell Sub Donnie had created. The girls grasped their weapons, ready to defend their family when a girl with long dark brown hair in a fishtail braid falling over her right shoulder jumped out, a Staff strapped to her back.

“Master Sahara.”

“Master Splinter.”

Both Masters bowed before Sahara embrace Splinter in a hug, holding the rat close to her thin body. The four girls put their weapons down and Alex hid behind Gracie, peeping out at the strange Chinese girl.

“I bring you a box of Raphael’s journals and a letter for you Splinter.”

“Thank you, Staff Master.”

Gracie stepped forth, Alex following close behind while June, Danny and Felicia stared from over the top of the sofa, their eyes wide in wonder.

“Where are Raph, Donnie and Leo?” she asked, her voice shaky.

Sahara glanced at the red head, the blue haired, the pink haired and the brunette, her eyes filled with regret and sorrow.

“I am truly sorry,” she whispered. “Are you Gracie?”

The red head nodded and Sahara smiled softly.

“Raph always mentioned you at least five times a day,” she said and turned to the other girls. “They all did and I’m pretty sure my immediate older sister was getting annoyed with it.”

The four girls smiled at each other and Splinter knew something wasn’t right.

“My sons, where are they?” he asked and Sahara swallowed the lump in her throat.

“They are buried in Japan, with statues over themselves watching over their bodies.”

A deathly silence filled the room with Haidley and Sophie covering their mouths with their hands. Rosie was shaking her head and Gracie, she stood there, staring at the Chinese girl. A sudden cry, filled with a scream echoed through the tunnels, not making its way to the surface.

A tiny voice whispered to the three pairs of ears.

“Where’s daddy?”
