*Cry* (Ao Haru Ride)

~ Chapter 1 ~

( Hikari's POV )

Middle School...

I was walking and passed in a park until I saw a bunch of boys about my age, that were walking towards me..

"Hey! Isn't that Miyamoto-san from our class?" The boy said. "Yeah, and I heard that she's weak and always cry! Why don't we tease her and make her cry? If she cries, it means that she really is a cry baby!" They said and walk closer.

I was afraid, very afraid. I don't know what to do, then they started to tease me.

I can't take it anymore and started to cry and look down. I had to admit that they were right.. I really am weak... I don't know why, but I can't help but cry....

Until suddenly,

"What are you doing? That's not a right thing to do towards girls." I heard another voice.. It was gentle and soft. And when I look up, I saw him... The man that saves me from those boys.

"We just wanted to know if the rumors were true that she always cry." The man that teased me said. "You already saw her cry so why don't you just stop and go home?" The man that saves me said. "Okay...." they said and walk away.

I am still crying and sobbing. I look at the man and he wiped my tears away from my face.

"It's okay, they're gone. Are you okay?" He asked and I nodded in reply. "Thank you..." I said and smiled at him. His eyes widened and look away with a blush. "No problem..." he said and that's how I realize that he's shy.

"Why don't we go to the park first?" He asked shyly and I nodded with a smile.

He has the same uniform at our school but I didn't see him there. "Uhmm, what's your name?" I asked while we're sitting near each other. "Tanaka... Tanaka Kou.." he replied with a smile. "Nice to meet you! My name's Hikari Miyamoto." I said and smiled back.

"Uhmm, thank you for saving me back there..." I said without looking at him but has a smile on my face. "You don't need to worry about that.." he said with a smile.

"But I have to tell you that you have to be strong. Don't let them say those words that can hurt you..." he said. "I know... but how?" I asked. "Hmmm, try to be cheerful and at the same time, try to be strong." He said and smiled again. "Okay! I'll do my best!" I said and stands up. "Well, it's already getting late, wanna go home?" I asked and gave a hand for him to stand up. He look at me and nodded and at the same time, he takes my hand.

To be honest, he is the first boy that became my friend... He's different from anyone else...

"Are you also heading this way?" I asked and he nodded. We just walk in silence and it's really getting awkward.

When I reach to my home, I look at him and I saw that he's shock.

"Uhm, Tanaka-kun, is something wrong?" I asked with a concerned voice. "You live here..?" He quietly asked. "Yes.." I answered.. "Is there a problem?" I asked again but he just shook his head.

"I live across your house.." he said and it's my turn to become shock. "Really?!" I said and smiled excitedly. "That's great! Maybe we can go to school together everyday!" I said while he blushed and smiled.

"Bye, Tanaka-kun! see you tomorrow!" I said and go inside my house.

( Kou's POV )

'Wow, I can't believe that her house is just across mine...' I thought as I was on my room and doing my home work.

I bring out my notebook and open it. It was still empty and I already finished my home work so, I just write her name.
