~ Chapter 3 ~

( Hikari's POV )

2nd Year High School...

RINGGGGGGG!!

'Urgh, stupid alarm clock..." I thought as I turned it off and sat up.

Hi everyone. I'm Hikari Miyamoto. 2nd year student.

I got up and walk towards the bathroom to take a bath.

Its been a month since the class started. And as you know, my only mission on this school is to read and study. That's the only things that I needed to do, and I wanted to do.

After taking a bath, I went to my closet and open it. I pulled out my uniform and close the door closet. I put on the uniform and went to the mirror and grabbed my hair brush. I brush my long black hair while humming a song.

After brushing my hair, I grabbed my bag, jacket and a scarf. Well, it's kind of cold outside.

I go outside the house and walk around the road to my school.

While walking, I put an earplug to my ears and listened to music while reading. I wonder why I really like to read...? Maybe because I'm bored.

When I arrived at the school, I put my book on my bag and went to my locker to change my shoes. But before I could open it, someone run behind me and hit my shoulder, which cause me to land on my butt.

"Oh, I'm sorry miss!" The boy said while giving me a hand. I didn't took it and stand up by myself and open the locker.

It quite hurt actually.... but I just shrugged it off and went to my class.

'I wonder if we got a new student?......' I thought as I was walking. When I reached the door to my classroom, I suddenly feel nervous.

I quietly open the door and saw that my classmates were talking to each other.

They seem that they didn't notice me, but I don't care anyway.

I walk towards the back seat and beside the window and sat. I get my book in my bag and started reading.

While reading, I heard that there's someone who opened the door but I didn't bother to look. Until I heard some murmurs.

"Ne, do you think she's flirty?" "Yeah, she think she's cute and all!" The girls whisper but I still heard them.

I finally look at the person and saw an orange short haired girl. She's cute actually, but not flirty. She's just being nice with them.

I look at my book again and started reading.

Then, someone sits next to me on the next seat. I didn't bother to look at the person who sit. So I just continued to read.

"A-ano, what's your name?..." the voice was in a high pitch and I already know that it's a girl. "Miyamoto Hikari..." I replied without looking at her. I was actually shy. "Oh, mine's Makita Yuuri! Nice to meet you Hikari-chan!" She said. I finally look at her, she was the girl who's cute and has a short orange hair.

I slowly smiled a little and nodded my head. "Nice to meet you too..." I said. Her eyes widened a little and then smiled back with close eyes. Then I continued to read, until the bell rung.

It was already lunch time! I walk out of the room and went to the canteen.

There were a lot of people but I manage to go. I buy one melon bread and a milk tea. They put it into a plastic and gave it to me.

I go out of the crowd and on my way to the classroom again.

I was walking at the hallway with my head down. Until someone accidentally hit my shoulder and caused me to fall. I just closed my eyes and waited for the impact. But someobe grabbed my waist and keep my balance.

I slowly opened my eyes and look at the person. He has a curly black hair, and has a black colored eyes.

I blushed and quickly get out of his grasp and bowed deeply. "Gomenasai!" I said while still blushing. "Be careful.." was all he said and walks away.

'Wait, his voice sounds familiar.....' I thought as I look at the place where he stands a while ago. 'Is he.....' My thoughts were interrupted when Yuuri-chan called me.

"Hikari-chan! I was looking for you!" She said while huffing. "Gomen, I just buy some bread and tea.." I said and smiled.

We went back to the classroom and ate our food. We chat about ourselves and laugh. I think Yuuri-chan is the only friend that I had, since we're both very girly. But suddenly, we heard another murmur..

"Ne, Miyamoto-san and that orange haired girl were really same, right? They were both too girly and flirty!" "Yeah you're right! What a match!" They said and laugh.

I'm not actually like this.... I really changed since he disappeared. I'm more girly than ever. And I don't have any friends anymore... and it also change my personalities.

I just look down and felt sad. "Don't let them make you sad! Don't believe at what they say. I will always be by your side, Hikari-chan. So don't worry!" Yuuri-chan said and smiled brightly.

'She's so nice...' I thought and smiled back.

The class was already over and I'm now walking out of the school.

While walking, it suddenly rains.

I started to run quickly and end up in the park. There's a roof near it so I went there. I stopped running when I saw him. It really shocked me.... he's sitting.... and, he's the boy who I bumped earlier when I was going to the classroom with my food. He's the boy who really looks familiar. He's the boy who looks like him.....

He looked at me and smiled. 'That smile..... so he really Is HIM!' I thought and blushed a little.

"A-ano, are you.... Tanaka........-kun....?" I said while stuttering. "I'm Mabuchi Kou...." he said while still smiling at me and sitting. "B-but,........ No! You ARE Tanaka-kun! I knew it! You-" My sentence were interrupted when he spoked. "I said my name is Mabuchi. Tanaka is not here anymore..." he said and look down.

'He changed...... just like me...' I thought.

"You changed...." I whispered but let him hear. "You are, too.." He said and smiled again. He stands up and put his arm over his eyes and said.

"Did you know? That I really like you?" He said and put away his arm. He looked directly at me while I blushed widely.

"But that's in the past....." he said and I suddenly felt sad. "We can't go back to where we were last time..." he continued and smiled.

I just stood there, shocked. Then I felt that my face is becoming wet. I thought that it was from the rain, but I was wrong.

"Hey, why are you crying? You really change, have you?" He said and walk closer to me and wipe my tears away.

"Don't cry... it won't help you.." he said and walked away.

I'm still standing there and still crying silently. 'He liked me? Why didn't I notice it before? I didn't even say that I like him too....' I thought and finally went home.

When I got home, I quickly went to my room and went to bed. I started crying again.

'I'm very stupid! He disappeared because of me! He even liked me before...... but why not now..?' I thought as I continued to cry.

'Why does it hurt so much?....' I thought.

"If he didn't like me anymore.... then I will make him fall for me again.." I whispered and blushed.
