Tayyar changed the water in his brand new fish tank. He loved fish. He loved to watch them float about in the water, their fins billowing gracefully as if suspended in mid air. He had begun decorating his new office since he now had the space to do so. He had numerous books about marine life in his little bookshelf next to his desk. He stood back and admired his office, proud of his work. He heard a knock on the door. Metin opened the door. "Hey, old man, Omer has you scheduled for a visit today." Tayyar took the schedule from Metin. "What? Where to? Doesn't Omer do most of the traveling visits?" "Yeah, but he decided you could handle it. Why are you complaining? Don't you have no patients most of the time? Well this is a chance to have more." Tayyar glared at him, and read the document. His face paled and his lips started trembling. He gulped. "I have to trek all the way through the woods to reach the patient! Ohhh noooo! Those woods are known for its ferocious fauna, and you know my luck with animals! I'll be lucky to come back with my skeleton!" Metin rolled his eyes. "I'm sure you'll be ok. Stop being such a drama queen."
Tayyar drove his car as close to the house as he could, but the road ended at a camping area. There was an hour long trek along the rugged trail to reach the patient's house. He examined his map, but he couldn't make head nor tails of it. The writing was smudged and faded, and probably out dated. Metin gave me an old map just to be mean! I'll teach him a lesson when I get back!
Quaking with fear, Tayyar started his hike. He jumped at every warble of a robin and the caw of a crow. He felt the eyes of squirrels burn into him. He told himself that his mind was playing tricks on him. That the flickering shadows beyond the trees were not the silhouettes of hungry wolves or angry dogs. "Just keep moving...the sooner I get this done the sooner I'll get back to the safety of his office. Part of the reason Tayyar loved fish was that they can't lunge at you. They can't rip you apart with their teeth. They just float aimlessly in their tanks. At least most of the time.
It hadn't even been twenty minutes but Tayyar was exhausted. He had left his water and snacks in the car. He looked at the bushes lining the trail for anything edible. He found some blackberries and went to pick them, but he froze when he saw a creature. A rabbit looked at him with its beady eyes, and apparently it found the sight of Tayyar to be offensive, because it chased after him angrily. Forgetting the trail, Tayyar ran in the opposite direction. As the trees blurred past him, he crashed through the woody undergrowth, he ripped up tall plants and vines in his rush. This angered more woodland animals, who too chased him. Soon an angry mob of creatures followed him. When he had seemed to lose some of the mob, he took a break on a tree stump, and unknowingly stamped on an anthill. Soon he was covered in angry bugs. He leapt in the air and cartoonishly ran in the air, a cloud of dust flew behind him as he raced into a nearby pond to wash the burning fury off of him. He saw eyes look back at him in the shallow water, piranhas leapt at him with flashing teeth and a snake lunged at him. Knees trembling, teeth chattering, eyes popping out of his head, heart pounding out of his chest, and mind racing, he ran as fast as he could, when he smashed into something large and fuzzy. He blinked the vision back to his eyes, and came face to face with a large horse

He screamed and ran away, but he heard the clomping of hooves behind him.
The sky had darkened and he could barely drag himself forward. He looked up miserably and saw a light coming from a quaint wooden cabin. The patient's house. He sighed with relief and started the check up.
When Tayyar returned to the clinic, he looked like a zombie from a movie. The color from his skin had disappeared. His clothes were torn, and he was covered in scrapes and cuts. Omer dragged him inside. "Tayyar?! What happened!" Tayyar went to answer, but his mouth hung open without sound, and he fell face first to the floor.
