Year 1

"Morning, lovebird," Ms. Joke teased as Aizawa walked up to her in the café. "The cat's out of the bag now, is it? Or out of the closet maybe?"

It was the day after Present Mic had accidentally announced, on-air, that he and Aizawa were now officially a couple. Ms. Joke had of course called him up immediately and arranged brunch for the next day so that she could learn the details of the situation first hand.

Aizawa simply rolled his eyes and slid into the booth across from Ms. Joke. "Very funny, Joke." he chuckled, shaking his head.

"My you have changed," Ms. Joke laughed, raising an eyebrow. "A week ago you would have grumbled about stupid nicknames."

"Is it a bad thing?" Aizawa said nervously, tugging subconsciously at the edge of his scarf.

Ms. Joke blinked, unaccustomed to the normally stoic and confident hero being shaken by the mere suggestion that he was perhaps not entirely himself. Her expression softened and she patted him gently on the arm.

"Of course not, I'm only teasing," she told him. "And in all seriousness for once, I am really happy for both of you. You two suit each other."

A waiter came by to take their order and after a quick and flustered congratulations to Aizawa, they whisked away with orders of coffee and sandwiches.

"Gonna have to get used to that too, at least for a little while," Ms. Joke noted.

"Now that, I am not looking forward to," Aizawa grumbled. "But you were right I guess. Things are really good with Hizashi." He laughed, "Why do you always have to be right?"

Ms. Joke just grinned. "You're welcome," she said as their food arrived. "Now spill, I want to know everything."

Year 2

"Congratulations Mr. Aizawa, you are now Eri's legal guardian." The adoption agency agent bowed her head and smiled, "I wish you both a happy life together."

Eri jumped eagerly into Aizawa's arms and he caught her easily. "Does this mean you're my dad now? For really?" She asked, grabbing his arm and jumping up and down excitedly.

Aizawa chuckled and ruffled her hair, "Yeah it does Eri. And the day's not over yet. We're going to go surprise Hizashi now."

"You didn't tell him?" Eri gasped, covering her mouth dramatically. She giggled, "He's gonna be so surprised!"

"Yeah he is, now let's go." Aizawa led Eri gently out to the parking lot and into his car. Eri didn't stop talking for the whole car ride over to Hizashi's apartment, completely unrecognizable as the shy quiet child she'd been when she was first brought to UA.

When they arrived at the apartment, Eri practically burst out of the car. "Calm down, Eri," Aizawa laughed, chasing her down. "Now I told him I was coming over for work related stuff so you're gonna keep quiet until I tell him what's going on, okay?"

Eri nodded excitedly, "Yeah!"

One elevator ride later, Aizawa rang the doorbell to Hizashi's apartment as Eri waited quietly off to the side. After a few seconds, Hizashi opened the door and smiled to see Aizawa standing there. "Hey Shota, come in-"

"Daddy!" Eri burst into the room, catching the both of them off guard.

"Heya kiddo!" Hizashi said, dropping to his knees to catch Eri in a hug. "What are you doing here?" he asked laughing before what she said finally registered. "Wait, did you say daddy? Does that mean..." he trailed off and looked up at Aizawa.
