Of course we all know the typical races of the Dragon Age world. But there are some you haven't heard of.
Qunari
hese people are elf like people who are taller, and have horns. Dragon horns, if you will. Corypheaus told The Iron Bull that their race, wasn't even a race, but a mistake. So, someone could have combined the DNA of elves, if you will, with Dragons... creating what we know as the Qunari. They govern in Par Vollen. The Kossith are some sort of Qunari but different. We aren't really sure how. The Qunari hold Dragons very sacred, calling them "Ataashi" the Glorious Ones. The Qunari are not the Qun. The Qun is a way of life, but not only are Qunaris within it. Elves, humans, dwarfs, and such can be converted to the Qun. So they are known as Qunari to the people of the Qun, but to everyone outside of that, they are known as their race. Qunari's that are born outside of the Qun are called Vashoth and the ones that abandoned it are called Tal-Vashoth. The origin of the race is unknown really. We assume that something happened and that there is some dragon within them. The Antaam and Ben-Hassarath are both a part of the Qun, but they could potentially stand against each other in the next game. That's because the Ben-Hassarath are more of a subtle and slow changing world type people, whereas the Antaam want everything to change immediatly. SO eventually they could end up fighting each other because they are sick of each other.
Dwarves
Dwarves are shorter beings. Many live in Orzammar but those who are casteless live above ground. The Legion of the Dead hangout in the Deep Roads to hold of the darkspawn. They have been doing that for many years. They are resistent to lyrium, that is why they mine it. They worship the Stone, when someone dies they return them to it. The Stone is like a god to them, and they call themselves Children of the Stone. Recently, Titans have been discovered by the Inquisitor and Shaper Valta. They proved their existence. For many years they believed that Titans were simply folklore, and just not true. It turns out that Titans were just removed from their history, whoever removed the codexes and information probably just wanted more power over the Dwarven people. The Titans are huge creatures, and the Inquisitor and Valta found one when they went past the Deep Roads. Nobody had ever gone that far before. Valta has taken it upon herself to learn more about the Titans. It recognized her as one of their children, so there's a theory that the Titan is really the Stone that they all worship. Dwarves are very crafty, and have more advanced technology than any of the other races.
