Elvis gave his parents (when he was only 22 at the time) a budget of $100,000 and asked them to find a “farm-style” home.
In March 1957, Presley purchased the famous landmark for $102,500.

The legendary mansion is on a 13.8-acre estate in Memphis, Tennessee.
It is now one of the most prominent landmarks in the country.

t opened to the public in 1982 and is ranked the second most visited home in the USA.
As for the name, Graceland was initially part of a 500-acre farm that was owned by the S.E. Toof family.
The family had owned the land for decades and named after one of the female relatives named, you guessed it, Grace.
