'He loved her to much too let her get killed'

She stepped through the open doorframe into his Slytherin dormitory.  She could hear her heart pounding in her ears.

His room was just how she had imagined it.

It was bare, with only the necessities

There was only one bed, meaning he had the room all to himself.

It was almost certain that Lucius had used his money to an advantage in order to worm his son into having a private room.

Dracos bed itself had large mesh curtains draped around it, it was lined with a slytherin green duvet which had a serpent symbol on one of the bottom corners, his pillow's were the same deep green but they had a silver outline around the rim.

Other than his bed, he had a small wooden dresser, a desk with only parchment a quill and ink layer out on it. He also had a small window seat facing the Great Lake which had pillows thrown messily all over it. Near his window seat he had a bookshelf, lined with books of all types. The most battered was one she recognized to be her favorite book.

'Romeo and Juliet'

It was a muggle book so she assumed he only had gotten it for class.

She stopped her gaze around his room and set her eyes on him.

She outstretched her arm with the jacket on it to hand it too him

"You gave me your coat last night and I forgot to give it back before I went back to my room" she said in a voice so quite it could have been a whisper.

He looked down to grab the coat off of her arm and paused, he had seen his ring, still placed on her finger.

"I thought you would have taken it off" This was the first time he had spoken since she entered his room, his voice strong and scratchy, it sounded as though he had just woken up from a nap.

In that moment she felt completely and utterly stupid.

Why hadn't she thought to take it off before she came to his room.

"I just thought it looked pretty, when did you even manage put it on my finger"

"While we were walking back up the hill, your hands must have been numb from the cold"

She knew he was lying, even if her hands had been numb she still would have noticed him putting the ring on her finger.

She went to slip it off, but she was just about to pull it off the top when suddenly his rough hand grasped onto hers, preventing her from pulling it any further.

"Don't" His voice sent tingles down her spine.

His hand pushed it back onto her small finger, but the second he touched the ring, she felt an odd sensation run down her finger, flowing through her body until it reached her toes.

She looked up at him with an expression of shock and confusion.

He had the exact same look plastered across his face.

Had he felt it too?

"What in merlins name was that" She dragged her word in a slightly shaky voice.

"I have no clue"

His hand was still grasped tightly on hers, he pushed the ring down so it was back at the bottom of her finger, his twitching hands lingering a little longer than needed.
