"Its not because they didn't want to"

"Its because they didn't have a choice"

==================================================

 Several minutes later they arrived at the ancient castle, they walked up the steep steps, up through the massive oak doors, professors were directing her down the hall towards the great hall.

Hermione liked the familiarity of it, the castle made her feel safe

Hermione and Ron walked into the great hall along with all the other students The great hall was breathing taking. She must have already seen it a hundred times before but that didn't change how astounding it was.

The ceiling was covered in candles that gave off a warm glow, it had been enchanted to look like the night sky. There were stars twinkling all over the place, she looked directly up from where she stood and saw the North Star shining just a little brighter than all the other stars.

 There really were no words to describe how the great hall looked that night if was jaw dropping,  no matter how many times you saw it you would always be in awe.

if only it had been able to stay like that forever.

===================================================

Hermiones body jolted forward, she was panicked and covered in sweat

She had been awoken by her night terrors again, they had become more frequent in the last few years so it was wasn't a surprise to her anymore.

Most nights she took dreamless sleep draught to help them, but it seemed last night she had forgot.

She didn't see the point in staying in bed when she knew sleep wouldn't come.

She threw her feet into her fuzzy Gryffindor slippers next to her bed and slipped her jumper over her head.

She stretched her arms out while she looked out her curtained bow window next to her draped bed.

She looked too the bed next to her and saw Ginny was still sleeping, she debated waking her up so they could go to the library together before everyone woke up, but decided she looked deep in sleep

She exhaled sharply, seen as she had nothing better to do, she decided to go the library alone.

She left her dorm and walked down the winding stairs to get to the common room, the fire was still roaring from whoever had lit it last night, giving off a sort of ominous glow.

She continued out of the common rooms to the large hallways of the castle. She was just about to turn the corner and head into the library when she saw something-

someone

It was a flash of hair, so blonde it was almost white.

They had been walking so slowly that Hermione determined they were creeping around, trying not to get caught.

The person turned the corner, if they would have looked up they would have seen her. Peering out from behind the wall.

She turned around and pressed herself against the wall in order to hide herself.

Whoever it was didn't see her.

She decided that whoever this was and whatever they were doing had to much much more interesting than going to the library, she rounded the corner and followed them down the corridors. She walked as fast as while still being stealthy.
