Alex

Lacy's POV :

After school, I left without saying anything to anyone. Not to Alex or Ryan. I just left on my own.

I decided since I wasn't talking to anyone that I might as well just walk home. I could've gotten a ride from Alex but I just wasn't feeling it. He didn't do anything but I just wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone after that.

I was currently at home, alone. Well I was alone until Ryan came home about an hour ago. He hasn't come up and said anything to me, neither than I and I don't expect him too.

Not only that but he also didn't come home alone. Yep you guessed it, he brought her here of all people.

They have been downstairs, talking and laughing. I'm pretty sure she brought her here to make me even more angry. If only he knew I was more jealous than angry.

I decided to go downstairs to make me something to eat because I am starving like Marvin right now.

"What's the deal with your sister?" I hear once I reach the bottom of the stairs making me stop.

"What do you mean?" My brother says, confusion in his voice.

"I mean like, why is she such a bitch?" She says making me gasp lowly. I wait for my brothers response, waiting for him to defend. But he doesn't,

"Uh I really don't know. I guess the recent attitudes just came out of nowhere." He says making me instantly hate him even more. So I stop ease dropping and head to the kitchen.

In the kitchen I try to calm the fire that's been built up inside me from today. I grip the countertop wanting to throw something.

I shake my head and take a deep breath. As I'm making myself a grilled cheese I hear my name pop up again in their conversation,

"Do you ever think Lacy might have a thing for you?" She ask and I immediately freeze in my spot.

"No, of course not. That'd be ridiculous."

"Do you think you'd ever develop a crush on her?" I almost scream out at the question. What the hell is she getting at?

"What the füçk! No, never. That's disgusting, she's my füçking sister." He says, yelling in shock at her question.

My heart breaks slowly at his reaction and answer. But I should've already known from the beginning that he wouldn't feel the same for me as I did him. He just sees me as his baby sister, Lacy.

A tear slides down my face but I wipe it away quickly when I hear footsteps approaching the kitchen.

Soon the footsteps stop and I know he's there. I can feel his stare burn in the back of my head like a laser. I keep my back turned to, pretending not to notice him standing there.

I finish cooking my grilled cheese, grabbing a plate to put it on. I sit at the island not bothering to look up. I glance over at his direction quickly noticing him standing in the exact same spot at the kitchen entrance.

After a minute of him standing there, he comes over standing in front of me but I still don't bother looking up. I just sit there with my head down, eating my grilled cheese sandwich.

"Lace?" I hear him say lowly making me stop chewing.

"Hmm?" Is the only thing I say still not looking up.

"Can we talk? Please."

I finally look up at him and his face softens when make eye contact.

"Why, I thought you didn't want to talk to me." It was more of a statement than it was a question.
