My fanon vs. canon opinion

Hey guys, I just wanted to start this out by saying I have a lot of ships in the haikyuu fandom. This is my favorite anime to watch as well as read about but I have been noticing some sad facts that I wanted to kind of talk about. I'll start by the fact that people are making a lot of the characters that have a slight personality of annoyance into toxic characters.

I'll first start with Kenma because that's the one that I see the most toxicity from. I keep seeing that in that many people make Kenma out to be someone who's rude to Kuroo. They make him into a rude and uncaring boyfriend to Kuroo. Kenma is one of my favorite characters and Kuroken is one of my favorite ships so it makes me sad that people have made their relationship toxic. I typically see this on YouTube texting stories and I hate it. Kenma and Kuroo have been best friends since childhood. They helped each other and spent every day with each other, I also recently learned that they were supposed to become canon. The main example I have of this toxic behavior is every time someone says Kenma chooses Hinata over Kuroo no matter what. First of all that is really horrible to think about, just think about it in detail I love people don't realize that they're basically saying that the years and years of friendship that Kuroo and Kenma have are completely overshadowed by Kenma meeting one person he got along with. Kenma would obviously chose Kuroo because that's his number one, not Hinata and it kills me inside to see people think otherwise. I would also like to disclose the fact that Kenma and Kuroo have been together forever, they know each other very well and they know which buttons to push for each other. So I really hate when people make Kenma chose video games always over Kuroo because he actually will be playing while talking to him if not keeping the game away and talking to each other.

The second character I like to talk about is Iwaizumi. I keep seeing people making him out to be an emotionally, mentally, and sometimes physically abusive boyfriend to Oikawa. This is wrong for many reasons because Iwaizumi never hurts Oikawa for no reason, he only teases him with the nicknames which Oikawa is used to as again they have also been friend's since childhood. Iwaizumi isn't the nicest but he certainly would constantly put down and hurt Oikawa.

I have a ton more to rant about but as I was writing this I realized I should most likely be studying for my finals that are happening right now so I will most likely post more of my personal opinion in different chapters. Be free to debate with me if you really want to, and give me your own opinion because I know that a lot people just don't view them how they should and some people need to just rant. So don't be afraid to tell me your opinion, I'm always up for a good debate.
