𝐋avina Malfoy leant against a stone wall, clutching her robes against her as the chilled night air surrounded her body. She and Hagrid were assisting first-year students who had lost their way getting to the common rooms of their houses. As Lavina was the slytherin prefect and Hagrid had always favored her, he allowed her to stay late with him and direct straggling students.

Fred Weasley had been invited by Lavina to come along, with permission from Hagrid, and join them. Fred hadn't done much besides crack -not so appropriate- jokes in Lavina's ear when she would be telling directions to students.

"Freddie, please I'm trying to do my job." Lavina frowned at the boy, turning her body to face him.

The 6 foot boy stared at her with a lazy grin, "I'll stop when I can take you back to my common room." Lavina slapped his arm playfully and with a roll of her eyes she was back to searching the halls. She greeted paintings that were still awake and waved to passing ghosts.

"Come on darling, it's getting late yeah?" Fred slowly gripped Lavina's waist from behind, causing the girl to stop her walk.

Lavina turned around to face him, lacing her arms around his neck comfortably. "Freddie, I understand you're bored but if you weren't here Mattheo would be, and I don't think you would appreciate that very much."

Fred's expression slightly dropped at the mention of the Riddle boy. "I'm much better than he is, darling."

"I know." Lavina whispered, then stood on the tips of her toes and pressed a gentle kiss to his red cheeks.

Lavina heard the quick steps of Hagrid slowly get louder, she pulled away from the ginger boy who frowned in disappointment. All Lavina did was wink teasingly, knowing exactly what she was doing to the boy.

"Yew two doin' all righ' yeah?" Hagrid spoke as hushed as he could, wanting to be respectful of the occupants in the hallway.

Lavina nodded. "Yes sir, I believe I just saw the Gryffindor prefects finishing their duties. Once I walk Fred to his common room I'll be on my way as well."

"All righ' then! Get some sleep kiddos!" Hagrid said with a gentle smile as he continued his walk to his hut nearly off campus.

Fred and Lavina walked together in a comfortable silence, the two just enjoying each other's company. It was fairly cold during the nights, the breeze was nice though. Lavina had always favored the cold rather than the boiling hot. Lavina noticed the ghost bumps on Freds arms, his body shivering slightly as it tried to gather warmth.

"Cold Freddie?" She smirked, wrapping her arms around the tall boy as best as she could.

Fred sighed as he made eye contact with her, making his heart skip a beat. "I wouldn't be if you would've just come to my common room."

"I can't stand half of your housemates Freddie." Lavina mumbled to the ginger and Fred groaned. Lavina didn't like most people so it wasn't necessarily house rivalry, it was just Lavina being Lavina.

Fred thought for a moment. "Then you have to make it up to me, tomorrow at sundown meet me by shrieking shack." He kissed her forehead before untangling himself from her grasp, walked away from her and to the painting.

"Wait, what are we gonna do?" Lavina questioned the boy suspiciously.

The ginger turned around for only a moment. "You'll see Darling."
