A paw crept quietly across the wooden floor and a small snub nose went ahead of it. She sniffed the Mexican food and the many smells that wafted through the house.

The sun shone through the large windows and warmed the little dog's brown fur, who was getting lots of petting from all the guests, who scratched her belly as she lay on her back.

"Lyla, come out!" her owner's voice called from outside.

She jumped up and ran outside onto the sand where all the people had gathered. Some were sitting on her left and some on her right, too, and there was a soft, cozy rug on the sand underneath her. The doggie hadn't been this happy in a long time.

"Come on over here, you little tiger," whispered the owner, who looked back from his chair in the front row to face her.

Lyla sprinted off and put her paws on her owner's lap.
"It's okay, Lyla. Sit here," he said with satisfaction.

She spun around once and sat between her owner's legs. Panting, she looked up at her owner's pack leader. Everything became very quiet and the man got a little nervous the quieter it got. When Lyla put her head slightly to the side, she only heard the sound of the waves of the ocean in the background and waited anxiously to see what would happen.

The Great Hall reappeared exactly as it had looked before the explosion, but everything was not the same as before, quite the opposite. The piles of debris were gone and there was no fire to put out. Everyone was still lying on the floor, however Adam was the only person who had actually died. Max and Chloe hugged each other and cried as they embraced. Who would have thought they would ever see each other again?

On the other side, Daniel helped Maila to get on her feet.
"I told you that we should always see the good," she remarked with relief.

"I think I get what you mean now," Daniel answered her as he pulled her up.

Maila looked at him with satisfaction in a way Daniel had never seen before. Her eyes sparkled and it was as if Daniel could feel exactly what Maila was feeling. Their lips clashed and they were kissing nonstop.
In the background, Max and Chloe did nothing else.

Karen had already rushed to the Great Hall to help her family. Even if she had been late before, she wasn't now. She couldn't have been happier, because she had never seen her son as happy as he was when he kissed Maila. Presumably she was the first mother to witness her child confessing his love to another person and this happiness filled her with hope, hope she had thought to have lost. She grabbed Jess' hand and helped her up as well.
"Are you okay?", Karen asked her.
