Argument
"WHAT!"
She can't help but to stand up because of shock.
"Come again?",she asked, wanting confirmation. "Raven, calm down and sit." Her mother ordered. She reluctantly obliged.
"Dad, please tell me I heard it wrong. You can't be serious.",she asked again.
By the sober expression on his face that never faltered, she could already tell."Yes, dear. I am serious." ,he replied. "Can't we discuss this further? Can I negotiate? Don't I have a say in this matter?" She fired question after question.
Her mother interfered. "I'm sorry, hija but you're dad already gave you an option. You declined, didn't you?
"Your mother is right. We gave you a chance already. And we just can't pass the responsibility to them without anything to exchange for their help.
"So you decided to trade me for the company? How is that fair? You also make it look like it's my fault.
"Honey, that's not what we intend to convey." "Dad, that's exactly what it means. If not, then what do you intend of making this seem like? "
"Darling, I- " "Save it. I don't want to hear any of your excuses anymore. I'm leaving." She then stood up and left. Without looking back.
"Raven."
"Sweetie."
"Rae."
