Chapter 4
/Lucian's POV/
I can't believe it's her. It has to be her. What is she doing here? I don't think she ran away. Something isn't right. She should have recognized me. Something is very odd here. I'm going to find out what.
When I stepped into that class, I was looking around hoping that maybe I would see her. Finally, after searching the nearby schools I found her. I felt her gaze on me and met her inquisitive eyes. She looked stunned and confused. At first I thought she was shocked to see me here then I realized that she didn't even recognize me.
She looked paler. Unhealthy. Her hair was more ginger then it was auburn. Her eyes looked diluted. She did not belong here. I have to bring her back and find out who did this. As I passed by her on the way to my seat, I noticed how she tensed up and tried to burn holes into her desk with her glare.
I exchanged glances with my buddy Xavier. He had come along to look for Keira with me. They were close friends. She should have recognized him. I shrugged and signaled to him to talk about this later.
I slouched down in my seat and devoted the rest of the lesson to forming possible solutions.
/Cassidy's POV/
What's up with Keira? I know it's not my business to pry. That's for Bree to do. I'm just there to make them both laugh and stuff. But you would have to be blind to not notice how weirdly Keira was behaving. I'm not as oblivious as I look.
I sneaked a look at her from behind the textbook I had propped up to block myself from Ms Miller's stink eyes. Keira looked completely dazed.
Her orange-y hair was slowly slipping out of the messy bun and framing her face. She looked terrible. Like a zombie. She looked as if she just saw a ghost.
Odd.
Chewing on my lip, I nervously peered over my shoulder at the two new kids.
Ugh they look intimidating. But I guess they are cute.
The blonde looked scary. He looked so sour and grumpy and annoyed. The brown haired one look deep in thought.
What strange kids.
I turned my liquid grey eyes back to to the front and sighed. I wanted to help Keira but how? I don't even know why she's so upset. I guess I'll have to ask her later.
I groaned inwardly and slide down the seat so that I was barely visible. Especially since i hid behind my textbook.
Slowly, I drifted off to sleep.
