That was quite the scare we had, wasn't it?

You were not supposed to wake up before me. You were not supposed to get out of the bed without waking me. Hell, you were not supposed to be in the kitchen, wielding a baseball bat and on the phone with the police.

You looked so frightened when your eyes met mine. Time seemed to slow down as I heard you speak my name into the phone. I was too late to stop you from giving that information, but not late enough to keep the rest of it silent.

I had to get close to you in order to throw the dust at you and make you take a quick nap. You were fast to fall, but don't worry, I didn't let you fall to the cold, hard ground. I caught you and held you tight, momentarily forgetting about the phone.

It felt so right, holding you in my arms.

It was when I heard the 911 operator on the phone did, I remember what was going on.

I bent down, grabbed the device and hung up on it. I then carried you back to your little bed and tucked you in all nice and safe. There was no need for your fear, you home is still secure. As if I would let anyone harm you.

I would have liked to admire you longer, but the sirens from outside surrounding your little apartment screamed that I need to leave.

After tucking a strand of hair out of your face, I took my leave before they could get to your door.
