You've just finished writing when someone knocks on your door.
You stop writing and hide everything.
"Come in!"
Ariana walks in.
"Oh, hello, Do you need anything?" You ask
"Uh, no I just wanted to say everyone Is gathering around the fireplace for some hot chocolate if you would like to come."
"Oh, okay, Great! I'll come in a minute." You clear up your desk before heading to the door.
"Is everything alright sweetheart?" Ariana puts her hands on your shoulders.
"Uh, yeah I'm fine... just exhausted, I had to work at the book store all day to get this for Eugene for Christmas."
You show Ariana the Flynnigan Rider book.
"That's so sweet of you, but why did you have to work to buy it?" She questions.
"Because I was short on money and I needed the book for him." You explain.
Ariana strokes of your face with her finger making you sleepy, "You could have asked for some more money sweetheart especially if you told me it was for a gift."
"It's alright, I got to make a new friend it was worth it, Besides I wouldn't want to ask for stuff from you." You smile.
"I see, Well let's go get some hot cocoa."
You both walk to the hall where everyone is around the fireplace.
"Hey, (__)! Are you ready for tomorrow?" Rapunzel makes space for you to sit down next to her.
You sit down and she puts her arm around you. "Yeah I'm ready, are you guys?" You sit down, Ruddiger chitters and jumps in your lap.
You giggle and look around to see everyone enjoy stories and drinking hot cocoa.
Everyone except one person... Varian.
"Hey, has everyone seen Varian?" You ask.
"Uh, no I haven't I haven't seen him since this morning when we told him you're-" Lance gets interrupted.
"SHHHHHHH!!!" Everyone stares at Lance.
"Okay, what's everyone hiding from me?" You cross your arms.
Everyone smiles awkwardly.
"What? Why would we hide something from you?" Eugene laughs.
You pout, "I'm not dumb guys, what is it?"
"Uh, we can't tell you until tomorrow morning, but you should go check on Varian," Quirin says while handing you two hot cocoas.
"Alright, I have an idea where he is." You smile and walk out of the hall.

You sneak up to the stables and see Varian holding something and talking to Sebastian and Leo.
"Told ya they're good to talk to." You lean on the gate and smirk.
"Oh, uh (__)! What are you doing here!?" Varian laughs awkwardly and hides what he's holding.
"I came to give you some hot cocoa, what are you doing here anyway?" You walk over and sit next to him.
"Oh, I just wanted someone time to myself..." he sighs.
"Are you okay Varian?" You hug him.
"I-I'm fine... I just need time alone... please." He smiles slightly.
You sigh, "Alright then, I'll cya later then..." you stand up and sigh.
Varian watches you walk out of the stables and he sighs.
"I don't know what to do Leo! I- I really like her... but I don't know if she likes me... I mean am I even good enough for her!?"
Quirin is standing outside the stables listen to him before confronting him.
"Sounds like you've got a little problem there haven't you son." Quirin chuckles.
Varian's eyes widen, "D-dad! What are you doing here!? How much did you hear?"
Quirin walks over and sits next to his son.
"I heard your little problem if that answers the question for you." Quirin sighs, "Look, how much do you care for (__)?"
Varian looks at Quirin confused, "Is that even a question? I couldn't explain how much I care for her..."
Quirin wraps his arm around him.
"Exactly. Tomorrow she's going to need you as much as possible... when she finds out her present of the king and Queen. And Honestly, I think she likes you two." Quirin smiles.
"She-she likes me?" His eyes widen even more.
"Yes, now c'mon let's go back inside it's cold here." Quirin stands up, put a blanket on Sebastian, then helps his son up too.
Meanwhile
Everyone is snuggled under blankets while Lance is telling stories about his 'adventures' with you and Eugene.
Your nearly asleep snuggled with Ruddiger, Raps and Eugene when the door opens.
"Hey, your just in time for marshmallows! Lance is telling stories about Eugene and (__) adventures!" Rapunzel stands up and gives Quirin and Varian some marshmallows.
Varian comes and sits next to you.
"So, you okay now?" You ask.
"Yeah, I'm fine thanks." He smiles.
You smile and put your head on his shoulder.
Varian is taken aback but eventually puts his head on yours and puts an arm around you.
Quirin watches from a distance smiling at you and Varian while talking to King Frederick and Queen Ariana. You don't know what they're talking about but you don't care, you're happier that Varian isn't running from you again.
You look around and see everyone snuggled into each other, Cass, Eugene and Raps together, Queen Ariana with King Frederick and Lance telling stories.
Everyone was happy, it was almost perfect, there is just one more thing to make this more than perfect.
You gently lift Varian's head off you, stand up and get Varian to follow you.
You both walk over to Quirin and sit down next to him, Varian leans on his dad and Quirin wraps his arm around him. You can't help but smile at them both. That's before Quirin pulls you closer so you all could snuggle under a blanket and eat marshmallows.
This really is going to be a perfect Christmas.
