It was all a blur after that. Running from the Mind Flayer, running from the darkness chasing me. I stumbled into a house, I used it as a distraction to concentrate. I looked straight into the Mind Flayer's eyes.
"You are one of the lonely ones I see," its eyes had that evil look in it.
"Get away from me!" I threw the couch at it. I tried to separate it from one of its legs but it was too strong.
"Using Mike as a distraction I see. He doesn't love you Eleven, I should know," it was enough to break my trance.
"W-what," I mumbled. What does it mean? Is it real? What if its lying? I shook it off and continued to throw heavy furniture at it.
"You see the way he looks at your brother right? You said it yourself, he is the ONLY one who can calm Mike down," the Mind Flayer really was evil. I screamed and with one final push, the Mind Flayer melted and I woke with a start.
"El? El? Are you alright?" I saw Joyce fidgeting over me.
"Eleven, are you ok?" Will asked. He looked disturbed. Jonathan patted my head and Dad had a concerned look.
"Hey kiddo, what happened?" he squeezed my arm.
"I s-saw the monster..." that was all the words I could say. Everyone looked at each other in deep concern.
"Will you be alright?" Joyce asked while handing me a glass of water. I nodded.
"Ok El, we will let you rest." she gave me a smile. They all left except for Will, who stayed behind.
"What are you doing here Will?" I asked.
"Um, its complicated but I saw something too," he sighed. He looked so sad and desperate.
"Did you see the monster too?" I wanted to know what he saw. Was he there too?
"I-its complicated Eleven. You wouldn't get it," I got mad. Why would he hide from me? Unless...
"Not stupid," I said angrily.
"Eleven, that is not what I meant. You are smart in your own way okay?" I relaxed a little bit.
"Ok, so tell me what you saw,"
"I-, I had a vision. Of the Mind Flayer. I saw you, you were following it..." he looked down in embarrassment. I however, was nervous. Did Will see the future? Was it the Mind Flayer's doing?
"I will leave now ok? Mom will suspect something is going on." he left my room. I couldn't sleep the entire night...
