29✧It's happy time

"So is no one going to decorate a Christmas tree?" Mei asked in the afternoon.

"No one here is a kid like you so no." Ara was only teasing her.

"I believe Jisung will."

"Huh? How can you be so sure hm?" Ara questioned.

"I have my ways." Mei answered with mischief.

"Then why did you even ask the question?" Ara rolled her eyes being fake annoyed.

"To get on your nerves my precious." Mei grinned.

The best friends were sitting closely in the sofa, practically cuddling like they used to do when they were kids, so it was no hassle for Ara to hold Mei in another headlock like earlier after they arrived. The both of them then started giggling - cudding more to each other.

"You know Mei I'm really happy that you've moved on from the past. You deserve to be happy." Ara spoke, still holding Mei in the headlock, but it was as if she was clinging onto her like a koala to his eucalyptus.

"Uh huh I admit I was stupid, I realized that later, it's no good to dwell in the past. It feels weird to admit it too, Chris helped a lot. If we accidentally haven't met that day, I would've been dead by now."

The last sentence of Mei earned her a hard pinch on her arm and she let out a shrill, "JISUNGIE YOUR MOM IS HURTING ME."

"Oh shut all the drama please, and don't say stupid shit like that again. Now spill how did you and Chris met again?"

"Did you just cuss?"

At the mention of his name, Jisung looked up and looked around his surroundings like a cute small startled puppy. Chenle giggled at the act, they were doing some crossword puzzle sitting by the dining table and Jisung was startled at his name being mentioned or more like hearing a practical yell.

Yes, Mei and Chenle have already met and they were livelier than before. Courtesy to her too, Chenle has agreed to not study for the day and 'socialize' - as Mei would call it - knowing her son. The Park family were very happy for them, and even complimented Chenle's happy nature a lot, making the boy shy.

Jisung obviously has played a great role for Chenle's change in behaviour for the previous months. So it was not a big deal for Jisung to see Chenle in a really happy mood. He actually expected that, but truth be told, he was surprised also to the liveliness.

"My mom is being childish with her friend I think." Chenle uttered.

Hearing Chenle's voice, Jisung looked in front of him and saw Chenle softly smiling at him.

"Oh uh.. okay. I was startled for a moment." Jisung awkwardly laughed.

"I know." Chenle flashed a knowing smile at Jisung.

"Hey wanna decorate a Christmas tree in the evening?" Jisung asked being very random at the moment.

"What? We're not 10 year olds Jisung." Chenle didn't show any interest with the idea and started focusing on the puzzle once again.

On the other hand Jisung pouted for his idea being not taken into consideration but decided on surprising Chenle later.

"hm'kay." Jisung also focused back on the puzzle.
