Dream's pov
I went up to my room and closed the window, I got the blanket off of the sill and sat down on the floor next to my bed. I wrapped myself in the blanket and cried. I cried out of fear, I cried for an hour before I managed to stop. I wiped my tears with the blanket and stood up with the blanket still around me like a cape. I walked over to my closet and put on an oversized shirt, it was a cyan colour with swirls of bright blue as a pattern and a pair of black sweatpants. I walked out of my room to the kitchen. I put piece of bread in the toaster and got a glass of water. I ate my toast and drank my water then went back upstairs to my room. I flopped onto my bed and stared at the ceiling
"Dream?" Nightmare said knocking at my door
"Yes brother?" I replied sitting up
"Can I come in?"
"Yeah" Nightmare walks in to my room and sits down next to me
"are you ok? you look like you've been crying"
"I'm fine brother" I say giving Night a weak smile
"if you says so Dream, I'll be in my room if you need me okay?"
"okay" When I say that Nightmare stands up and leaves. I grab my phone and see that I have a message from Cross
Cross : Hey Dream do you want to come round and play some more of that game today?
Dream : no Cross I can't sorry
Cross : Why?
Dream : someone sent me pictures of me sleeping and I'm scared to leave the house
Cross : Are you okay? did anything else happen?
Dream : well, I thought I saw a figure in my front garden last night.
Cross : do you want me to come round to your house
Dream: Yeah that would be nice. But let me ask my brother first
09:00 am
Cross' pov
"Dammit, he did see me then" I thought as I rolled on to my back. I didn't think this would scare him that much. I just wanted to show Dreamy how much I cared for him and what I would do to protect him. I hear the phone beep and I look down at the screen
Dream : Nightmare said you can come round
Cross : I'll be there in ten
Dream : see you then
I quickly grab my trademark jacket and run out the door and ten minutes later I'm at Dreams house. I knock on the door and Dream opens it a few seconds later
"Hii Cross" Dream said as he pulled my into the house
"Hello Dream, what do you want to do?"
"ummmm LET'S WATCH ANIME!!" Dream pulled me up the stairs to his room. When we got to Dream's room, he grabbed an ipad off his desk and sat on his bed. I sat down next to Dreamy and we started to watch anime on the ipad.
(30 minutes later)
Dream started another episode and I slipped behind him
"Cross what are you doing?" I didn't reply. I only wrapped my arms around Dreamy and pulled him into my lap. He gave a small yelp and I put my head on his shoulder, keeping my arms wrapped around him protectively
"Cross w-why did you do that?" Dreamy asked in a hushed voice, his cheekbones were dusted with his yellow blush
"I just wanted a hug Dreamy~" I whispered into his 'ear'. His face becomes more yellow and he replies
"oh o-ok Cross" Dream plays the ipad and moves it so we can both see.
01:00 pm
Cross' pov
Me and Dreamy have been watching anime and cartoons on the ipad for several hours. We were talking when I asked,
"Hey Dream?"
"Yes Cross?"
"Can I stay over for the night?"
"I don't see why not, let me ask my brother"
And with that Dream jumps up and runs out the door
Dream's pov
I run to Nightmare's room and knocked on his door
"BROTHER?"
"Yes Dream, what is it?" Nightmare said opening the door
"Can Cross stay round for the night?" I ask with a smile on my face
"sure"
"Thank you brother!" I hugged Nightmare and ran back to my room to tell Cross
When I got to my room, Cross wasn't there
"Cross where did you go?" I said to my seemingly empty room
"behind you~" I turn around to see Cross lunge forward at me. I scream and squeeze my eyes shut. I land on my bed with a thud. I open my eyes to see Cross next to me, laughing
"T-THAT WASN'T FUNNY CROSS!" I yell, Cross just keeps laughing so I push him off the bed. I sit up and turn away from Cross
"come on Dream," Cross said through tears of laughter "you have to admit it was funny"
"NO IT WASN'T"
"DREAM!" Me and Cross turned our heads round to my door, where there was a panicked Nightmare
"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON AND WHY DID YOU SCREAM!?!?" Nightmare yelled
"Cross scared me" I poked my tongue out at him
"you know what, I'm out" Nightmare said as he closed the door and walked away
"come on Dream I'm sorry" Cross said as he crawled on the the bed behind me and sat down I didn't reply. I felt Cross wrap his arms around me, I grabbed onto his hands and leaned into Cross' chest. I let out a yelp as Cross pulled us both back onto the bed so I was laying on top of him. I tried to sit up but Cross just pulled me back down
"Cross let me go" he let me go ; I sit up and huff in annoyance. Cross sits up and hugs me
"so what did Nightmare say about me sleeping over?"
"he said you can, but shouldn't you go back to your house to get pajamas and stuff?"
"oh your right I should, I'll be back soon Dreamy" and then Cross teleports away, I jump up and run to the window to see Cross half teleporting and half running down the road. I smile and jump back on to my bed to wait for Cross to come back
