" (Y/N).. I think we should probably get home by now, you're way too drunk " I shake her shoulders gently, trying to make her senses alive. She keeps on blabbing about why dogs are born to be so cute but lives too short, and why do the sky look so dark tonight, that it reminded her of a book cover that she read 3 years ago. Along the way back home, I had to watch for her steps because she's walking with no direction.
(Y/N) has been calling my names for the 30th times now. I had to shut her mouth with my hands because it's already 4.02 am on my clock. The neighbours would think that there's a possessed woman roaming around the neighbourhood freely.
As we arrived, I untie her shoelaces before she throw herself on the bed. She stood still when I was loosing her shoelaces, and the tranquil silence around us are too powerful. Suddenly, I can hear (Y/N) smiling. " Why are you too kind? " her dearest voice breaks the silence. I looked up to her eyes, and chuckled softly. " I'm not.. I'm just- trying to make it up to you, " my hands untie the last knot on her right sneaker. " I'm sorry, if I made you feel like you have no choice to leave.. " she speaks again, but this time, in a guilty tone.
I finished untying right after she said that, and stood in front of her. She looks into my eyes as if there's thousand of things she would like to say, or it's like a ticking bomb; waiting for the time to explode words out of her. Not long after she stared into me, before I even get the chance to say my part; she passed out on my shoulder. " (Y/N).. How are you so careless.. " I sighed, and carry her towards her bed. I lay her down, and pulled the blanket beneath her legs to cover her warmly. I kneeled by the bed side, tucking her in neatly, while watching her fall asleep soundly.
A strand of her hair falls onto her face, and gently, without waking her up, I tugged the strand behind her ear. I found myself foolish for smiling like a fool now. I guess.. my feelings haven't change ever-since I met (Y/N). I would say that I might even fall hard for her. Before I leave her house, I thought it was the right thing to do at that moment. I whispered into her ears, hoping that she would wake up not remembering it.
" I choose to stay, it was my choice. There's a lot of things that you, yourself, don't have a clue about, and.. I-I don't want you to be hurt when I'm not there, (Y/N). I had enough of you hurting " I planted a soft kiss on her forehead, and left the building.
