What is it that drives you, gives meaning to you?
It is natural to cling to meaning, so we can pull through,
For death and empty life feel alike, meaningless, few can stand long,
Whether shallow or deep inside, something matters that can let us stand strong.
You may lose what is your drive,
As at our hearts, Fate likes to connive,
But even when Fate puts up a fight,
Don't stay down, get up and show your might!
You may feel you've begun to buckle,
But search for a while, soon you'll begin to chuckle,
Because you'll nearly forget the trouble, as with thought and time,
Over new meaning you'll stumble and be brought a new prime.
With big enough a goal,
It matters not the toll,
As with enough meaning,
You can smile despite Fate's intervening.
If you wish to never be more than shaken,
Hold tight to something that can never be taken,
And into Life's darkness and fright,
May your heart always be alight.
