Days went on where Kuroo would come by a day and then leave for a few. He never told Kenma why he was missing or where he even went. He wouldn't answer the phone often either and it sounded like he whispered every time he did answer.
He shrugged it off though not wanting to show that he cared. There was no point if he didn't want to share it. That's was until today.Kenma was getting ready to go to a interview with one of America's famous tv shows. He didn't know much English so there was going to be a translator. but the second he looked outside he saw the whole floor covered in snow he knew it was over. He sluggishly put on one of the coats Kuroo had left on and stepped outside with one of his awards he had won during the YouTube ceremony. It was a tall golden and black with a weird figure he couldn't make out on top. The cold air hit him when he walked out the door. He grabbed the award and dropped it infront of his feet to see how deep the snow was. He watched how it sunk into the snow. It was quiet deep if he had to take a wild guess it would be 2 feet of now.
He sighed and walked back in wondering if Kuroo would be crazy enough to still come over. Collage should be canceled due to the snow so he might be dumb enough to. Last night Kuroo had insisted on sleeping on a phone call. He sounded unwell and miserable. He had told Kenma that he was having trouble sleeping so Kenma just started up a stream so Kuroo could hear him as he talked.
He fell fast asleep at the beginning of the stream but decided to keep him on the line because he liked hearing his small snores. Eventually Kenma hung up a few hour later when the stream ended.Kenma waited for Kuroo to call him back complaining about him hanging up. He would do that before this whole situation ever happened. He missed hearing that rooster complain about everything Kenma did wrong. It felt like someone actually cared about him for the first time in years. He still remembered how his mom would caress his face and wiggle her nose on his. A loud nock was heard causing Kenma to snap out of his train of thought. He made his way to the door and opened it slowly to see who it was. A tall figure with a black hoodie and snow boots stood over him. Of course it had to be Kuroo.
Kuroo pushed Kenma inside quickly taking off his layered clothes and picking him up. Kenma was shocked from the sudden action but didn't dare to move or he could fall on his bad leg. He was nicely plopped on the bed and Kuroo put the warm blanket over them. "I don't have much time! Please let's cuddle and keep warm, I only have 2 hours" Kuroo grabbed Kenma by the waist and pulled him closer.
A blush spread over Kenma's face as he felt Kuroo's cold hands then go up to hug his chest. His thighs rubbed against Kuroo's and he rubbed Kenma's cheek with his hand. Is this what it felt like to cuddle? It kinda feels nice... Kenma thought to himself. When Kenma was younger he could sit on his moms lap and she would pinch his cheeks. He remembered getting mad and looking away. He regrets not enjoying those moments with her.
"Kuroo, is your favorite food still Grilled salted mackerel pike?" Kenma said quietly. He hoped that Kuroo didn't hear him so later he wouldn't ask why he wasn't talking. All he would have to say is that he asked a question but he didn't answer.
Kenma could feel Kuroo's chest rise up and down as he chuckled. "Yes, yes it it." He smiles and rubs Kenma's head. The small boy actually enjoyed this gestured. He had received head pats in the past when they used to play volleyball but this was different. He turned around and moved a bit closer resting his head on Kuroo's chest. That's when Kuroo hugged him tighter and scratched his head. Was this how love felt like? It felt all warm and tingly with a hint of ease.
He wouldn't mind doing this whole love thing if he would feel like this all the time.

Kuroo's pov
At first Kenma was stiff as a stick but within minutes he melted into Kuroo's brace. This was truly the best award he had received. Kenma was so small compared to him. He felt like he was holding a small kitten but he could never tell Kenma that or he would jump right out of his arms. He brought his injured hand to Kenma's face who nuzzled into his hand leaving Kuroo astonished. He felt blessed to have Kenma in his arms. He was sure Kenma was doing this out of lack of sleep though. "What's your favorite song during this time of year?" Kenma said before yawning. His eyes looked sleepy and his voice was soft. Kuroo thought about it long and hard. Every year they would play the classical ones but if he had to pick one it would be "snowman," Kuroo said with a small smile. Kenma tilted his head and smiled laying back oh his chest.
