I glanced at my phone.

7:50am.

'Ugh, where is this stupid bus!' I mentally cursed.

I was currently at the bus stop waiting for the big, stinky, yellow vehicle that I use to get to school. Westmore High was approximately about 15 minutes away from my home. And it's not like I couldn't walk there instead of relying on a barely reliable bus that doesn't really seem to care if we get there on time or not. However, I'm not exactly too fond of the idea of getting up earlier than I should to walk to school, especially in the cold.

7:56am. 'AHHhh!'

Well I'm definitely considering it now.

School starts at 8am sharp and this stupid thing always comes last minute. I always made it to my first period with a couple seconds to spare. On a good day maybe a whole minute. I've escaped getting in trouble many times by my English teacher. He hates when people aren't punctual and always sends the late comers to the office to receive detention for the afternoon. The thing about me is first off, I hate being late. It draws too much attention when you come in tardy. And secondly, I hate getting into trouble, getting lectured and again, being embarrassed in front of everyone. Especially since my first period makes such a big deal about being late.

8:00am.

'Crap. I am toast. I am so dead.'

I was mentally choking the driver in my head for putting me in these uncomfortable situations and was preparing myself to give the driver the nastiest look as soon as the bus got here when a loud noise with the speakers blaring caught my attention.

Out of nowhere, glaringly loud and obscure music, if you could even call it music, was blasting at full volume. 'What the--'

I turned to see where the heck that noise was coming from and as I was turning, a big white car literally zoomed by me and the other kids waiting for the bus. The car was so close to the sidewalk that my hair was almost caught up as it drove by and I swear it almost gave me whiplash. I looked to see who the heck was driving that insanely but all I could see were the words in black font. 'Løded Diper' was spray painted very badly and boldly on the white van.

"Løded Diper? What kind of name is that?" I muttered to myself.

BEEP BEEP

"Get in or lose it, kid!" I heard a monotone voice yell.

I turn to see the very late bus behind me and notice that almost everyone was settled in their seats. When the heck did it get here. I turn to see that the white van is almost out of view down a couple of streets. I really wonder who the heck was driving that thing.

I shrugged and began making my way inside the loud bus. Not forgetting to give the driver a glare. "Pick it up, you're taking forever." He murmured. I don't think he intended for me to hear it but I did.

"You're one to talk." I grunted back as I sat down.

I was ten minutes late. I made my way to the main office to receive a late pass. I was dreading walking into class. Ten minutes was already too into class so me walking in was definitely going to draw some attention. Yuck.

I quickly made my way through the empty halls, mentally preparing myself on what I was going to say to the teacher. I hope he lets me off easy. I've never been late before. And now I was going to make sure of that. I decided that this was my last day taking the bus. If it wasn't going to be on time then I won't rely on it anymore.
